A classic indeed, especially the original series in black and white. 😀
Yea. 🙂 Even the newer ones were not too bad.

Very true. Not as good as the original series, but still quite good. 😀Yea. 🙂 Even the newer ones were not too bad.

I never really became a big fan of Night Gallery.I agree. Even the new Night Gallery series was not so bad.

I do prefer science fiction to horror, so that explains it.It wasnt as good as Twilight Zone. It was more Horror/Scary stuff then Sci Fi but it was ok IMHO. 😀 😛

Who are some of your favorite science fiction authors?
I was very fond of Asimov and Heinlein. 😀 😛
Yes, Ray Bradbury was great. 😀 😛I liked both of those very much. I also liked Ray Bradbury. 😀 😛

I started off by reading Asimov's Foundation trilogy. 😀The Martian Chronicles was the first science fiction I ever read. 🙂

I read that too. That was an excellent series.
Yes, it was. 😀 😛
I read some of Asimov's non-fiction science books, too. Much less impressive than his novels.
Me too. 😀 😛He wrote a lot of stuff. From Bible stuff to Science stuff. I did like his sci fi stuff best though.
Me too. 😀 😛
Did you know that Asimov was a scientist before he became a best-selling writer?
He got an M.A. in chemistry and a Ph.D. in biochemistry from Columbia University, the latter in 1948.
That is one of the disappointments of 21[sup]st[/sup] century science fiction--it has too much fantasy and magic in it. 🙁Yes I knew. 😀 One of the things I liked about him... it made his sci fi more believable.

That is the key, one counterfactual only and (of course) good writing.Exactly. 😀 Asimov always said good science fiction takes one thing that isnt true in science and wraps it all about in science fact. Otherwise all you have is fantasy. Very smart man. 🙂

Not something you see very often anymore. In that sense Star Wars is more Fantasy then Sci Fi.
Yes, Star Wars has a lot of mystical fantasy stuff in it.
😀 😛
That's a good one! LOTR with spaceships.Yes much more fantasy... even magic ... with all "The Force" stuff in it. I thought of it more like Lord Of The Rings with spaceships. 😛

Yes, I figured that out. 😀 😛Thanks As you can probably tell I am not the biggest Star Wars fan. 😛
