The Redskins are keeping their name and that is final. I'm part Native American and I'm a descendant of the Nanjemoy tribe that used to be in Maryland.

Nope. There's already the Kansas City Chiefs. Washington Warriors sound good to anyone else?

Could be do'able. There's already an NBA "Warriors". I don't know what the protocols are for different sports with the same name.

An acquaintance of mine suggested tongue-in-cheek that the team be renamed the Washington Red Skins, in honor of the variety of potato.

If I was the team owner I would go before the other team owners and request to move my team to London. The NFL is looking to expand overseas, so why the hell not! SCREW WASHINGTON D.C. They could be called the London Fog!
