As those of us who watched the game know, the NBA Finals Game Seven ended a few minutes ago, with the Lakers defeating the Boston Celtics. The Lakers did a good job of rallying in this series, being down three games to two, and winning Games Six and Seven in LA, and also being down 13 points in Game Seven. Phil Jackson's eleventh championship as a coach, and Kobe Bryant's fifth championship. The question for Jackson is: Will it be his last?

Anyhow, congrats to the Lakers, and to all the Laker fans on the forum.

Let's also Congratulate the Boston Celtics on choking on the Biggest Stage of most of their careers. Way to prove why they were the worst 4th quarter team in the NBA this entire season. How in the hell do you fold when you take the lead into the 4th in the biggest game of the year and most of their careers? God forbid they put that extra effort for one last 12 minutes of the season to hold onto a lead.

Also, let's not forget to thank Ray Allen for continuing to toss the ball at the hoop even though he barely could hit from 10 feet away after game 2. Maybe if he passed it a couple of times instead of continuing to toss up bricks the game would've had different results.

I think what was disappointing in terms of minor things was that the Celtics couldn't win one of the two final two games at LA. I always thought that in an evenly matched series, it's hard to win three straight at home. The NBA Finals should be the same 2-2-1-1-1 format like in the previous rounds. I guess (even though it's painful to say as a Knicks fan) hats off to the Lakers, they deserved their title.

I am a Celtics fan, but aside from the fact that the Celtics got hot at the right time, they weren't equal to L.A. In the games that the Lakers won, I believe at least 2 of them were by double digits. The 3 games won by the Celtics I believe were all by 9 points or less, and at points in those games that Lakers were extremely close to taking the lead over in the fourth. The Celtics got absolutely dominated in games 1 and 6, without even having a lead at any point after the first quarter in either of those games if I'm not mistaken.

I'd also like to add that they probably didn't even win game two if it weren't for Ray Allen's hot streak on 3's. Maybe he should've saved some of those shots for games 6 and 7. By the end I don't even know what the point of passing to him was. He was basically an automatic brick, yet he threw the ball at the hoop every time they passed it to him. The Celtics may have been able to pick apart teams like Orlando and Cleveland because Howard and James were the only guys on those teams that could play. However, neither of those guys are on Kobe's level when it comes to the clutch, and neither of those teams had Gassol, who is better at rebounding and shooting than the aging Kevin Garnett.

Actually the World Cup Sucks!!!

To Americans, Yes the world cup sucks. But that is because we are different than the rest of the world and have all kinds of other sports that the media and marketing are able to push on us and brainwash us into loving.

To Europe, South America and Africa, the World Cup is the equivalence to like if there was a World Championship for Football. First there would have to be professional, top-notch american style football leagues all over the world, and second, the best players in the world would be dispersed all over the world in different leagues like in soccer. In sports like basketball, baseball, hockey, and basketball, the best of the best come to the United States. In soccer, the best play all over the world.
