Cowboys BEAT the Colts!!!! Where are all the ''nay sayers '' now???

I am still here. I am still not convinced. You have a receiver named B.O. who is the biggest joke in the league. Good receiver ( I will have to admit that ) but still the biggest joke in the league. Besides you have made the playoffs only once since 1999. Let's not go crazy!!! Also let's keep in mind you were 8-3 or 7-4 ( I really don't remember ) and you DID NOT make the playoffs a year ago. See one quality win on the schedule and you guys act like you won a Super Bowl. The Jets had a quality win a week ago and I said NOTHING!!! You want to have an advantage over ALL the fans??? Say NOTHING and win the whole damn thing THEN rub people faces in it. ( Including mine ) And you know what???? I will be first in line. Because I am stand up guy that way. I WILL NEVER run and hide ( at least not until I go 6 feet under )

And how about them Cowgirls??? Or are they cowbells??? I keep forgetten that too!!! Anyway, you still stink as does B.O. :imouttahe

I remember how you said they wouldn`t beat the Colts, but if they did , well that would show you something. WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT; OR DID YOU FORGET ABOUT THAT. My whole point to this threadi is this.

People who don`t like the Cowboys{ and you are certainly entitled to that} LOVE to kick them when they are down; but will give them NO Credit when they do something that no team has done this year

And why do Cowboy haters ALWAYS bring up TO??? I have stated publicly that I thought getting him was A HUGE MISTAKE; but right now he is helping this team win, so I will make the best of a bad situation.

One more thing; What do the Cowboys , Yankees , Lakers, & Celtics have in common??? They are highly successful franchises that some people despise simply because they WIN championships !!!

DAMN!!!! the Cowboys beat the Colts. not that i really care, in fact i WANTED Indy to lose, but for pure fantasy football reasons. i have Manning, Wayne and Harrison on my team and i need them to be playing for real towards the end of the season.

but, there was a lot of contact towards the endzone in that game. the "Boys" got away with a lot. but oh well...

as for TO. you know, right now, he is doing GOOD. why? he is keeping his mouth shut. when is the last time he said something stupid? it has been a while. if he continues to SHUT HIS MOUTH, then the whole "circus" surrounding him goes away. TO at this time is acting smart. go figure....

i do like your point Flock. i have respect for the Yankees. why? i am a Laker fan and i know what is like for everyone to hate your team JUST BECAUSE they are successful over the DECADES. however, i cant stand the Cowboys. i am a 49er fan, which should explain it.

Thanks for seeing my point Primetime. And I am all for good rivalries like the BOYS` & 9ers` used to be!

by the way , I have Brady & Tomlinson on my fantasy team. They got me 8 TD`S this week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Steelers and the 49ers are also highly respected and winning franchises too!!! And they have won as much as that team from Texas. I am from New York and I am a Mets fan, DO NOT lump the Cowbells in with the Yankees. The Yankees are a CLASS organization who do not go around telling everyone they are America's Team. The Yankees are to classy for that. You have won 5 championships. There are teams that have won more than 5 in other sports who don't go around thinking they are better than everyone else. And appartently the fans of that Cowgirls are the same as it's organization. Do they deserve credit for yesterday??? They did get some questionable calls go their way but yes they deserve credit. Did they deserve a thread started about their nah-sayers??? NO!!! But just like a Cowgirl fan, you feel you deserve credit when you win a game. Do you start threads when the 'Girls lose??? Want respect??? When they lose start threads, then we know you are being fair when you start threads when they win.

The man makes one thread because he's happy that the 'Boys won a big game and you get all bent out of shape. The Cowboys did something yesterday that no other team has done this season, beat the Colts. Of course we're going to be happy.

And yes the 49ers and Steelers are also winning organizations but the Cowboys are the best organization in NFL history. You look at how quick the Cowboys became a winning franchise and how long it took others and there's no question who is the best. The Cowboys are a classy organization and there's no reason not to think so. And I haven't heard a member of that organization call themselves America's Team in a while. They didn't come up with the nickname so get over it.

And you can't really compare the NFL to any other sport. Baseball is very different and it is much easier for a team to dominate that sport. If the MLB had a salary cap then everything would be even.

The Cowboys played the Colts yesterday and they were the better team. Romo outplayed Manning in hte fourth quarter and made plays when they really needed them. The Cowboys finally broke the win, lose, win, lose streak. They beat the top team in the NFL and will go on to beat the rest of the teams on their schedule.

It`s just another case of a Jets fan being jealous of success because his team has no idea what success is. He proved my point EXACTLY!!! :dogpile:

As far as getting bent out of shape, I am not fiend. I was just wondering if anyone of you fans of the 'Girls would have posted if the Colts had won. I know the answer already. All I ask is for you to be fair. Represent your team in loss as you do in victory. I represented the Mets in loss as I did in victory throughout the ENTIRE year. I did just come out when they won. Being a fan in defeat is a better fan than a fan in victory. It is easy to root on a team when they win, but it is when the team is losing that the team needs you most.

As far as comparing other sports, I didn't compare the other sports. It was done for me. When you bring the Yankees and Lakers and Celtics and compare yourselves ( as was done by Flock ) to those teams without including the 49ers or Steelers then you stay in that comparison.

As far as being jealousy, Flock, I did not run and hide when the Eagles lost. You were gone for a while and and honored your bet in the smallest possible letters. So as far as you being honorable well, what can I expect from an America's Garbage fan. Now remember boys, get on your knees and lick the star right!!! :jester:

Nice win for Dallas - wish I'd been able to see it.

Going off-topic here, does anybody know what happened with CBS' second game? I was looking forward to watching the Colts-Cowboys game when all of a sudden there was a screen crawl saying "due to NFL rules, CBS will not show the second game". Coming out of the blue that way, WTF?? Does anybody understand what "rules" would have been broken by broadcasting the second game, which was already listed on their schedule?
Where are you located??? If you had an early game from you local market and CBS didn't have the Doubleheader in your market then that would cause a problem. If your team from the local market was HOME during the first game of the Double header then the game automatically gets blacked out.

I'm in Arizona - the Cardinals played an afternoon game which was shown on Fox, so that shouldn't have had anything to do with it. As far as CBS having the doubleheader in my market, all I know is that the late game was listed in my local TV guide.

I remember looking at a map that showed who was getting what game. The majority of Arizona and a portion of California weren't getting the game.

I would have posted either way. But it's not like there are a lot of threads that are started for every win. This was just one game, a big game and we're excited. A lot of people didn't give the 'Boys a chance and they proved them wrong.

And you can compare those teams but you can't say that the Yankees are better than the Lakers because they have more championships. The Yankees are the successful team in baseball, the Celtics and Lakers in baseball and the Cowboys in football.

See again the jealousy. You can`t make on single post about the Cowboys without a ''smartass comment''. The Boys` have been to 8 Superbowls ; more than anyone else.In 1989, when the Cowboys went 1-15 and were awful, I was freshman in college and wore a Cowboys cap proudly ; so don`t make assumptions that are totally inaccurate. I am also a Rangers fan, and have had season tickets for years and they are as bad as it gets. But they will always be my baseball team!!!!

My team lost yet I seem to be in a better mood about the game than most 😛 :wow: 😛

At any rate, I did want to chime in briefly with my 2 and 3/4 cents on the dollar. My obvious dissapointment aside :sadcry: , I was impressed watching Dallas play. If they can play tight, cohesive games like that on a regular basis they are definitely a dangerous team. I've definitely gone from thinking they were washed up just a few weeks ago (the QB thing, T.O's personal chaos machine that he seems to inevitably carry with him, etc)....but I definitely am not thinking such things now lol. It really reminded me (and I'm not pleased to bring this up again, but I definitely had the sense) of our playoff beatdown by the Steelers last season.

Are they totally inaccurate??? Where were the fans in 1988 and 1989 and 1990 when you guys won 11 games in three years??? What??? Were they disguised as empty seats??? The fact is, I have been a Jets fan MY WHOLE life. I just turned 40 today and I am a PROUD JETS fan for 35 years. I was watching Broadway Joe when his knees left the game ( which was about 3 years before Joe did. 😛 :jester: ) I have NOTHING to be jealousy of. If I did, I wouldn't be out here bantering with you, I would be beating someone over the head. :yowzer: Must know Flock, I am a New Yorker. I am a smartass. I talk trash. I give it out. I can trash with the best of them. I trash my own team too. They are worth trashing at times. You don't believe me ask your fellow Cowbells fan Natural. He will tell you I trash talk my team all the time when they are deserving which is almost ALL THE TIME!!! So get the jealousy thing out of there. My team sucks and your team sucks. Only thing is your team sucking might actually get a playoff appearance for only the 2nd time since 1999. Wow!!! You should be excited. Break out the milk and cookies we gonna party tonight.😛

So know I see. The Jets get shutout at home by the best team in the AFC and they suck. The 'Boys beat the best team in the league and they suck too. Know I see.

It takes heart to root your team!!! Regardless, how many championships they have been too. The Jets have won 1 Superbowl. But that should not matter. You earned respect by being a Texas Rangers fan. I love that. I think the Rangers are a fun team to watch. I wish they would get a domed stadium. It might make them more competitive in August and September when the heat just kills this team. :triangle:

You know, if I may...aw crap I'm going to whether anyone likes it or not...lol

Part of the Cowboys getting a bad rap for being classless is due to the short term memory of a lot of the current fan base. I would say a lot of current football fans think the Cowboy franchise started in 1989. The only know Jerry Jones and Jimmy Johnson and all the criminal problems with the teams of the 90's as they were winning. We'll probably see the same thing with the Bengals in a few years if they keep winning. Fans only remember the good years! LOL!

Now speaking as a Steeler fan I KNOW we had 38 years of losing until finally putting it all together in 1972, but as far as classy organizations go I would think the Steelers are in the top 3 for all time. One family has owned them in one city since 1933. Two head coaches in 37 years! Six trips to the Super Bowl, five wins (2-1 against the Cowboys Flock! LOL!).

Back to the Cowboys..it was a good win for them. I think the Colts have a lot of flaws and the Cowboys took advantage of them. What is surprising was that the Patriots did NOT take advantage a couple weeks before!

The Colts could still win it all...but they're going to have to do more than have done so far this year.

The Colts weren't going to go 16-0. It's not possible in today's sports.

Bob Griese, Larry Csonka, Larry Little, and Nick Bounconti, all broke out the bubbley sunday night I assure you!

I would think that a football fan would know that the Cowboys started before 1989. But I've never heard anyone say that the Cowboys are a classless organization and anyone who would think they are is just dumb and/or jealous.
