Well, here's a little more info for those interested in the DFW gathering.......
Ok, here is what we got to go with so far. As some of you know, I
have been contacting a local dungeon near Downtown Dallas regarding
the possibilty to host the 1ST Texas Gathering there and so far
everything is looking real good. I am making plans to go there over
the weekend and check it out. From what I gathered at their web page
and from corrosponding with the manager, they appear to be very
respectable, reputable and legit. And also, for the benefit of those
who were not advised as of yet, the manager of the dungeon as stated
that booze will NOT be permitted, so this will NOT be a BYOB event,
but for those who smoke, there will be designated area to smoke. The
dungeon also has a TV/VCR and a stero system for your enjoyment. It
seems that Friday and Saturday are the best days to hold the
Gathering since it seems that they are the cheapest days.
Partyevents during Prime Sanctuary Party Hours: 9pm to 2am are $10
on Friday and $15per person on Saturday night for organized groups
(normally defined as: with coordinator, established membership,RSVP
list, and 20 or greater attendance). So in order to get these
special rates, we will need at least 20 people other-wise the
standard rate of $150 the first hour and $60*each additional hour
will apply. Depending on availability the party arrangements
includespace for a Munch in the social area before the event (7pm to
9pm) when thegroup provides food & drinks.
Now we need to discuss the rates....
In order to help assist with the cost, we unfortunately will need to
discuss "door fees".
If you register in advance, the cost will be $20.00 per person
If you register at the door, the cost will be $35.00 per person
Ladies will be admitted free of charge
If a gentleman arrives with a lady, the lady will be admitted free
and the gentleman will recieve a 25% discount on the rate
This is to help recoup the cost of the rental, food, ect.
What will be provided by the host:
Full access to the social area and dungeons, access to
TV/VCR/Stereo, we will be donating videos as door prizes and raffles
as well.
Obviously, we'd like to get at least 20 people there for the special rate.
