More P51D "anorack" talk

My lovely little tinker Belle I dont believe the P51D was known as such with the Allison engine, but rather the more modest title of P51 or mustang mark 1.

I am not sure you are completely right Biscuit regarding the engine, although the merlin was British designed and manufactured I believe the P51D version was made under licence in the U.S. and was better as a result because our machine tools dated back to the battle of waterloo!

I REALLY want to see a copy of the mainstream clip in the sciences section. It was called "Come to your Senses" and looks really cute, fun, and playful. Just the kind of lighthearted thing I like.
