Do the Lakers need to fire coach Mike Brown?

Well, he got fired already. He should have never been hired in the first place. You can tell he can't make adjustments and his rotations are questionable.
Some people may say, give him time. But when you have a season of CHAMPIONSHIP expectations, and you go 0-8 in the preseason and start the season 1-4, you will get canned. Now, I wonder who will the Lakers get as coach. Has to be someone with an actual "pedigree". No more "experimental" coaches.

Saw this coming. It was kind of sudden when the Lakers even hired him. Kobe was upset that nobody from management even discussed who to hire as a coach with him. Had it out for Brown all along.
My issue is that Brown only got one game with the starting 5....thats it. Dwight is less than 80% healthy, Kobe has a foot issue, and Nash has a leg issue...he had little to work with and unless the Lakers have Phil Jackson waiting then this was a terrible move

There are so many things wrong, but there is ONE thing that is the cause for the Lakers mess right now.
Jim Buss
This guy is a complete fool that should not be anywhere near making basketball decisions. He drafted Andrew "I will never grow up" Bynum. He hired Mike Brown. He seemed to clean up his mess, but then he hired the second thing that made this Lakers' mess. He hired....
Mike D'Antoni.
This dude hasn't done a damn thing. His offensive system is NOT made for big men and the Lakers have two of the best biggest men out there in Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol. His system automatically leads to bad defense. The issue here is, his system does not fit the Lakers' personnel. The Lakers have talents for a HALF COURT system, not some run and gun system. The Lakers have too much age and not enough consistent outside shooters to run his system. Until this fool learns he has to run a different system, the Lakers will look bad and not do anything this year.
If Jim Buss took his head out of his ass and got over the fact that Phil Jackson is fucking his sister, then he should realize he should hire Phil. This team was built to win NOW, so you need a coach who doesn't build, but wins NOW. Phil Jackson.
As a Laker die-hard, I do not see us winning anything this year. D'Antoni has to change in order for it to work. Trading Pau Gasol will be an epic mistake and I got this feeling Howard will bounce. Jim Buss should really just let the basketball guys do their job. Jerry Buss needs to have his daughter run things, not this moron of a son. Again, you spend all this money for this personnel and you hire Mike D'Antoni??? Really? You might as well keep Mike Brown. Terrible terrible terrible. It would be hilarious is Jim is reading this (you never know right?). If so, Jimmy, suck up your pride and get Phil Jackson. Laker fans want to win and don't give a damn about your personal issues. Everyone knows Phil is the man for this team. GET IT DONE.
