Do you always need to *hear* the laughter to feel the rush?

I suppose this is going to be angled at Lers and Switches, but also anyone who has viewed clips or videos as well.

It's kinda random, but I played a clip the other day and decided to see how I would react when I turned the sound off and just watched with no audio.

I still felt the rush I sometimes get when watching clips. That feeling of, "Yeeahh. That's fucking awesome. She/He's totally getting pwnd."

I was then left to wonder if there are those that don't necessarily need to hear laughter to feel the same kind of rush you get when you do.

If unsure, try it. It was kinda dope.
 
Yeah, I don't 'need' the hear the laughter, but it adds to the whole ambiance.

No sound makes it a little more 'hollow', but I guess I still 'get the rush' (if that's what we're calling it now:devil:)

I couldn't think of a better word.

I'm not completely referring to arousal. Just the immense amusement or enjoyment that you get from seeing it happening.
 
While I can definitely see where you're coming from, I feel that having sound in the videos greatly enhances the overall presentation, and is therefore essential.

I actually have tried watching videos without sound before, and while it was somewhat amusing, I found myself mostly frustrated and eager to hear the what was going on. 😛
 
I need the laughter…I can’t stand those clips where the person has those silent laughs either. It’s the physical and audio reactions combined but I definitely need the laughter 😉

Sound is important

Not just the laughter, but the sounds, the noise and the utterances of the ticklee is very important to me. Everyone's recation is different; every woman unique. Even soundless laughter is a sound of a sort. The Laughter ( caps intended ) is the defintion of the identity of the partner you are with. The motion of her body and the music she makes are her mark that she leaves upon me.

Your timing is impecable. Yesterday, my sound stopped working as I was viewing several of the newly posted vids. I do not think my over all reaction to them was much different than with sound. In fact, on at least one occassion, the reaction was better than when I finally heard it with sound, as the Lee's reactions and laughter were better in my mind. The mind can be quite imagination I suppose.
 
I don't need the sound at all. As long as I can see the reactions to the stimuli I find it enjoyable. Sometimes sound really adds to it but again sometimes it can be rather obnoxious as well.
 
The laughter and and the fun of it of course is a rush. But there are times when you are "unintentionally" intentionally 😉 tickling/rubbing/caressing and there is squirming, writhing against it and regardless of sound, is just fricking hawt as hell. So no it's not always required.
 
I know what you mean, Crystal. I think the involuntary physical display of people being tickled-- possibly women more than men in this case-- is primary to the flavour of the occurrence.

On a side note, I think it almost always enhances clips of any other fetish genre other than tickling to turn the sounds off, unless they're made by true professionals.
 
Although I do get some excited feeling from seeing photos which has no sound or movement. I have to say the sound of laughter is what makes me tickle a person more but I have been known to have the same feeling when tickling someone that has a silent laughter but when I watch a video I need the sound of laughter otherwise I am just watching a silent movie.

Turning the sound off makes me pay attention to the specific details in a video. I can focus more on the raw suffering displayed on the ticklee's face as she gets, as you say pwned. It's hot.
 
If a video 'lee is very demonstrative then it can be fun to watch even without sound. In person I prize the sounds my favorite 'lee makes (which might sometimes be called squeaks as easily as laughter 😉 ), but I recently had the chance to tickle a lady who is a very quiet laugher. In her case my reward came in the form of curling toes, a twisting body, nearly silent shaking, and an occasional hand offering itself to be pinned as she reached back to stop whatever I happened to be doing to her at the time. That was also great fun.
 
I like clips too even even if sound is missing - you can have your own phantasy of what the laughter could be like. Of course sound is an additional turn on. A beautiful laughter is like music in my ears, hahaha
 
I am the opposite, I need the laughter or the tickling is just frustrating...probably why I don't like gag tickling...
Conversely, I could tickle with my eyes closed and just hear the laughter and that would be arousing/satisfying for me.
 
For me it is more about seeing the face. I need to see the reaction. The sound is nice but I can do without the laughter. Visuals are most important. Conversely, can you get the same pleasure out of listening to it without seeing it?
 
I don't need laughter; I go for those weird sounds that only come from hitting the right places on truly ticklish people. 'Lers know what I'm talking about, those frantic gurgles like somebody stepped on a duck that come from deep inside the 'lee, sounds they don't make at any other time :devil:. Visually, as in during a video, I'm more about the unique ripples you get through the muscles and the desperate involuntary way they twist and jerk, those are priceless and much more satisfying to me than the laughter 😎
 
Depends on the scene.

Recall that some 'lees are completely still, or rendered powerless, when tickled. Some hide their face.

It's the reaction that pleases me. Hearing them, feeling them, seeing them. A silent laugh in a thrashing body is still appealing.
 
I definately need to hear the laughter, but silent laughter counts 🙂
