Do you like your real name?

I'm not talking your screen name but your birth name..and you don't have to say what your name is here, in case you have privacy issues...ok i'll start..i used to hate the name Melanie...simply because it was different from all my friends names at that time..and also invariably, teachers would mispronounce it..i also hated the shortened nick Mel...over the years i've grown accustomed to my face errr... i mean name lol...but still hated when anyone would call me Mel...then when i first got my computer five years ago...i hung out in courttvchat room...and used the nick Mel...so i've gotten used to it now..I never call my husband Dave....i always have called him DAvid...sometimes in jest davey...but never Dave...

Yes I like my name. It's uncommon, but not rare. Its not anything spectacular being only four letters long, but it is cool enough. It's of Old Norse origins and who can't love that! :lol

I like my surname... Devine. I quite like it but it's a name people struggle to pronounce. Even when I graduated last week, the person reading out the graduates name could say all these wonderful fancy Chinese, Japanese and Asian or whatever sounding names but they couldn't say an Irish name.lol.

Is the Lu-Lu nick parred down from a full name like "Lucille" or perhaps "Lucy"?

Just wondering, as I don't seem to meet many Lucy's anymore, and I think that's a shame.

My name is David, and I have never cared for any nicknames on that. Most people who know me seem to understand that without my saying anything. Over the years, any nicknames I have been given have been derived from my last name or else from something else.
