The acquaintance also owned a machedy, which he had concealed under his trenchcoat. No one knew he brought it to school, and there wasn't a metal detector installed yet in the back parking lot gate where alot students enter and exist school.
Anyways, rumor has it he chopped off a guy's hand for trying to cheat. When I confronted him about it, he did not deny it, leading me to believe it was of course a lie. "Yeah, I chopped off his hand." You couldn't tell whether he was joking or being serious. His tone of voice was very unaffected.
Later, I discovered traces of blood around his locker. At first I thought it was ketchup, but no one was looking, so I smelled it, and it definitely had the scent of blood.
Now, I figured there had to be an explaination for this. Like, if someone really had their hand chopped off in front of other people, how was nothing done about this and why is he not in jail.
Or, maybe there was an accident or fight around here, and its already been taken care of and its not related to him at all.
But why was it only around his locker? It didn't make sense.
So I go back to him the next day and I'm like "you really didn't chop off his hand, right? You were just lying?"
And then he's like "no, I really did do it. You want to see it?" He said it amusingly this time.
I didn't know what to say, so I said nothing, but put on a face that would look like I was not bothered by it.
He them ushered me into the men's shower where there was a cooler stalled away. He opened the cooler and there it was! A freaking human hand!
All I could mutter was "wow". He then laughed and went on to discribe everything, from what angle he swung at, to what cards were in play. Then he got all serious said "no one cheats Brandon Shepard at Yu-gi-oh! No one!"
The moral of the story is this would have been more interesting and exciting if it had actually happened! Why do card players have to be all quiet all the time? Can't you strategize AND have a casual conversation at the same time?
