Does anybody wish they could connect the TMF with their facebook, if it was optional?

Offsite Facebook technology has such a reputation for being subtle and sneaky that I'd worry it would outright scare people who see the forum as a safe place, even if it was off by default.

Just bear in mind that with connected social media, you can not put the genie back in the bottle. Facebook and other social media are spambot breeding grounds, not to mention the Facebook bots themselves.
 
If this site were strictly about tickling, I might consider linking it to Facebook. But as it is, I wouldn't want my real life friends and family clicking on something that brings them here with all the porn decorating every page of this site. But I do understand the need for advertising revenue, so I can't really offer any practical solution.
 
I am a professional and would absolutely say no. Matter of fact the idea terrorizes me so. I think I would totally disconnect from the TMF for fear of the 2 ever meeting. I have my professional world plus family and friends on my facebook. I would never want the 2 to meet.

I know many people that are very open about this part of their lives and I appreciate that and would never judge. But it is just not for me! I like having this little mystery side of me.

So the answer is an unmistakeable no!

The people who support the idea probably have nothing to lose by connecting the two, whereas some people's fetish identity must be kept separate for personal or professional reasons.

I think its a can of worms best not opened. It would cause more problems than its worth.

A few years ago, wasn't there a thing where ebay connected with facebook and posted everything you bought on your wall, like it or not? My concern would be that with Facebook's constant tinkering with privacy settings - which usually leaves everything as non-private as possible every time they change something - that a similar thing could easily happen with the TMF.

I do not want my TMF posts, or stories I read etc, to appear on my facebook wall. In fact I want to know for a fact that that can never happen.

This is an excellent point. I'd keep them separate. It would be cool if it could
interface with Fetlife, but Fetlife doesn't have all of the features Facebook does,
so I think it'll be some time before that would even be a possibility.
 
NO WAY!

As long as there are sites like this one, Tickle Theater, and Fet Life I would not want to expose myself to a vanilla public.🙁:idontwann
 
For me. I would say no, and wouldnt do it., My friendship list on Facebook includes my father, other family members, business associates, etc, all of whom have absolutely no idea about this site, or my fetish life. I prefer to keep it that way, both due to them, as well as other friends or business associates I meet in the future, who I dont want to know about this site.

I have two Facebook accounts. One is purely for testing application development, and has no personal information on it whatsoever. They're linked to two different E-mail addresses, even.

And yet, somehow Facebook still keeps sticking people I actually know, who are on my Friends list on my real account, into the "People You May Know" feed for my fake account. I work on this kind of stuff for a living and even I can't figure out how they're doing it.
 
Not that I am on here much, but I'd say no. The issue is with Facebook. They continue to do whatever they can to get around our privacy settings. I do have 2 Facebook accounts, but I do have TMF and tks friends on my "real" FB that I am close to in real life.

I have a separate Facebook account only for this kind of things... and I use Chrome browser only for this, while Using Safari for Regular life things... So I go by "separation of entities" as a philosophy of life.

while i think its nice to have the like or share button added, Im not sure I will be using it that much.
 
I would suggest a private facebook group specific for TMF members

This would mean that we could join the group - and no one would know, and keeping it only to TMF members would mean we could communicate and converse in the private / anon group.

Linking TMF to facebook in any other way could be disliked by people who do not want to let it be known what they are interested in. I wouldn't want my facebook page publicly linked to TMF in any way whatsoever.

Facebook is too fucked up to be able to trust! They'd somehow manage to screw you over if the two were ever connected in any way!
