Does anyone know how much (round about) tickling models get paid for a video?

Speaking as a person who does not make videos, but has talked to many who do, both producers and models:
Like many things in the world price will vary based on location, model experience, and name recognition.
Location: The closer you get ot LA and/or NYC the more you will pay for a model.
Name Recognition: Models that have a reputation of being fan favorites can command a higher price. This follows as the odds are better that videos with them in it will sell better then an 'unknown'.
I've heard of payments as low as $70 in non big city locations for amatures and well into the multi-hundreds for top talent in LA. Odds are the price you'll see is someplace inbetween 🙂

That's really not too high, considering that there are a lot of people that might be interested in purchasing the video.
I know of models paid $40 for a half-hour shoot, strictly "on-camera" time (i.e. only paid while filmin') while workin' for Solefully Yours. That's definitely not LA payscale, mind ya. It was San Luis Obispo, San Francisco, and Honolulu. Pay scale did rise a bit in Hawaii, otoh the Hawaiian cast had little personal inhibition, too.

we've had one model ask for $1000 for 4 hours
You speak the truth Myr! Except for the $70 comment. We've yet to find a $70 model for our videos. That's really low sounding. We are in LA so maybe thats why. Most all girls we've seen that will work for $70 in a tied and tickled video to be sold worldwide, well, lets just say, they are usually in pretty bad shape physically and mentally. This is not to put down any model that will shoot video for $70, its just fact from what we've seen. In Los Angeles a "model" like that will normally already be doing slutty porn movies and will not have a very pretty body or face. Basically she's just taking what she can get in a world that favors "beauty" over anything else. So she'll lower her price to get more jobs, and will do ANYTHING. It's sad to me really. I hate to see people sell out but once they start they learn that the money is pretty good and beats a 9-5 retail or fast food gig. The problem is they reach 28 years old someday and no one even wants to hire them for $10, so they have to learn to cope in the real world of employment, which we all know is no fun and hard to get ahead in.
Oh! I'm rambling.

Please keep in mind we've shot with the likes of Sara, Kristin, Dina Marie, Priscilla. We've paid as high as $500 for two hours. And thats NOT two hours of shooting! Thats being paid from the minute she walks in the door, setting up lighting while she's standing around, etc. So it's quite expensive. That's why we've told people sometimes it takes 6 months before a video shoot breaks even. The costs are phenomonal. The actual buyers of vhs videos are few. It's not a goldmine business trust me! But it sure is FUN!

Since there isn't very many tickling companies around maybe the companies should work to join together. Example: webspace, being able to put out more video's in less time. I also think that even though there are more tickle fans out there, many feel kinda like it's not "normal" and afraid to order a video. I think that Realtickling has taken a big step in the right direction in making it available to watch vid's over the internet. This is kinda off topic from model prices, just clicked while reading though. lol

After your statements about money and how long it can take to break even, I am curious then why you would retire some of your videos?? It seems to me that even if the sales are tapering off in favor of newer titles, it would benefit you to at least leave the availability out there for new ticklers who are finding them for the first time.
I know little about business, but this is something I have been wondering for a while, and this thread seemed like a good place to address it.

Hi Slappy! I've talked about that once before, but dont mind saying it again. 🙂 Putting it in simplest form, we don't want to become to big as far as having to stock 50 different titles, etc. We want to keep this little business little. So we knowingly push away some profits in return for being able to run a smaller, simpler business. It usually takes about 15 months for us to retire a video.
Don't get me wrong. Those older titles are STILL under our copyright powers and may not be sold or distributed by anyone else. We may even put them all on CD ROM in the future.

This may be an odd place, but while we're on that topic, when do you plan to make Beauty Must Laugh into a CD-Rom?
I have all your videos but the latest and THAT ONE, it stills chaps me that one day I went to your page and a number of videos that I'd been looking at for awhile were JUST GONE. See, I'm still bitter - LOL.
But don't think that I don't love your stuff, your work is great, and Femfeet have been busy little beavers lately releasing more than a video month. You rock! Just PLEASE NEVER cancel videos without decent warning again, and Re-release BML as soon as possible.🙂

I am curious why you don't try selling your videos through, porn/adult shops or the like. I don't really know how that works but I know if you walk into one of those shops you will find, pissing, lactating(speel), bondage and every other sort of fetish, but if you are lucky you will find one old Cal Star in the corner.
Anyway, I am just surprised it is so hard to find our fetish in an adult shop.

I have very few videos in my catalogue, but three of yours are there (including the coveted "beauty must laugh") hoping to win the lottery and order lots more soon (not that you are pricey, I'm just broke). Also enjoy your site, and have since BEFORE you guys were even doing tickling stuff(and before it was a pay site), just foot stuff (What ever happened to that adorable Irish girl from the midwest?). im sure kathy was just taking a guess at an approximate age. its not in stone. they're certainly not over the "tickling hill" but close to being over the "hired for expensive to produce tickling videos" hill. in my opinion the lovely ladies of this world can and should be tickled well into their 50's. but if one looks around at fm, harmony, mtp, us, they'll no doubt always see gals from 18-28 years old in the videos. somehow thats just the way it has turned out. does anyone have ideas as to why?shark said:

As a frequent visitor of adult shops they are often a curious thing. Many won't have any bondage or fetish material at all. Others have few really, really bizarre titles and some do have a respectable collection of fetish and bondage videos. If Kathy or any other video producer wants to sell there wares in adult store I think you need to find those stores that have a good collection of BDSM stuff already. The others may not be too receptive. A store owner told me once that he was selling much more BDSM stuff over the net than in his store. Apparently people were still a little nervous about buying this sort of stuff even in an adult bookstore. Anyway hope this info is helpful.

...would someone right out of the tickling community who is genuinly into being tickled, ask for more money for a video shoot or less?
If less, then, why are those folks not used more often as opposed to "Models" who may be accused or thought of as NOT being ticklish and just "Acting" for the Money?

I think that goes full circle to the fact that guys like to see very very pretty women tickled in videos, not average or below average. And who's to say that there is not a few very very pretty women in this tickling community that like to be tickled? I'm not sayin that. I will say that its highly unlikely that any of them will do a video with anyone. Test out my theory, make a post asking for a woman from this forum to do a tickling video with the femfeet people. My guess is you will get no takers, none.

dodger, I never SHOT tickling video. I webmastered for some sites, and did digital video clips for some sites. Challenging ME to this would REQUIRE deception, as I don't DO video shoots. I do digital video editing, and HTML work. Therein lies the deception, sir.
