Don't let nylons die off along with the skirts

I'm with David Tyler..i don't like the no stocking-wear skirt look..when i wear a skirt or a dress i always wear nylons..

As for the "ultimate" outfit that Rick mentioned, I think it's very interesting to think about how different people can be. I can honestly say that I'd rather see a long skirt with no hose and shoes, baggy pants and boots, short skirt and boots...

There's several combinations that I like. I suppose it's the difference in people who are more excited over a person wearing scant clothing, or a nude person. I'm the latter, I like bare skin. It's softer, smoother, and has a nicer sheen to it than the dullness of hose or stockings.

And then, there's another issue, brought up by the Hooters question. To me, hose can be very easily TACKY. Even beyond it, they can look slutty, since so often they're used inappropriately.

And finally, as is so true so often for me... it depends on the wearer. Some people look great with the things on. But, IMO, most do not.

Actually, I was basing my observations less on my own particulars as on just people-watching in a retail job-environment. Often, women (some of whom might not get a second look in casual clothes) will cause guys to turn into hounds when they spot them sashaying through in the heels, hosiery, and a tight-fitting skirt/blouse combo.

I think it all boils down to both sexes loving seeing the other looking spiffy now and then.

Have to agree with this thread. Nylons are sexy, classy, and when not appealing to my fetish, also just part of proper dressing. Too many women want to be slobs, and the media and so called fashionable stars out there just help encourage sloppiness.

I wouldn't call it "sloppiness." For hundreds of years women in the western world have been confined to things such as corsets and layers of petticoats which greatly hampered their breathing and altered their bodies. Fainting was thought of as very lady-like. Later, women wore dresses, skirts, (and yes, stockings/nylons) which still cut them off from their male counter-parts, making them walk and move in a different way.

I think the turn to wear things such as jeans and loose tops is really a great statement as it brings the man and woman closer and doesn't automatically separate the gender by what is worn. Also, it's far more comfortable and allows women to move more freely and therefore not be forced, through the bonds of clothing, to act as a "submissive" (as corsets and skirts did).

This faded automatic visual stereotype may (or may have) helped to make women more equal in things like the workforce.

Before World War II, women never wore pants; but, with the men all gone to war, women were forced to work in factories and they couldn't do that in skirts, could they?

O! And I'm always bare-legged when I wear a skirt or dress. I think it's cute while nylons are seen as sexy. If I had the stockings with a seam, then I'd wear them with my skirts. ^.^

I think that shorts look best with bare legs but that skirts look best with hose, if the climate permits.

Hose with Boots is by far more sexy than anything PERIOD!!!!
I know for a fact as my wife has told me, and she is not a hose wearer, That tickling in hose is by far more intense than without hose! If you don't tan please wear hose. Oh by the way, Tanning can cause skin cancer, so save your skin and wear hose instead. If your uncomfortable cut out the cotton panel. or wear stay up stockings and longer skirts. Shiny Hose are just freakin hot Case Closed.

I'm of an age when nylons meant stockings - but now seems to indicate tights as well. I guess that I just have to move with the times:huh

I do recall as a young man softly slipping the heels off my aunt, and gently tickling her feet through sheer seamed nylon stockings - nothing quite matches that experience:wub

The whole packet of nylons, suspenders, tight pencil skirts, high heels, the russling noise made when a woman walks upstairs with this outfit on has to be heard, and the smooth soles and tickling sreams and giggles are great.
