In America, we can give our opinions about anything, and not get thrown into torture chambers or killed for it. You know, that "freedom of speech "right . 😉
But if you say anything bad about the President, or the government, you're somehow "anti-American"...even if you live in America. Ooo kaaayy.... 🙄
Harry Potter is supposedly evil, because the books/movies mention magic. And remember, according to those parents, any magic is evil!
Why don't all the parents who said that kind of thing about Harry Potter say the same thing about Disney movies?
Now a few back from when I was in school.......
Watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was bad, because it was violent. Nevermind that the Turtles had nearly nothing, and just tried to enjoy themselves and help others out.
Watching Duck Tales....which seemed to show a greedy duck who couldn't get enough riches..and would fight others for them...was okay, though.
Schools seem to not be able to do anything about bullies(or not WANT to..at least that was my experience when I was bullied), yet..if a kid who's being picked on constantly has enough and beats up the bully...even in self-defense (for example, if the bully attacks the other kid and his intended victim fights him off)..the kid who was being picked on risks being expelled.
trenchcoats aren't allowed in some schools because it's easy to hide weapons in them(okay, that's understandable..).
other coats, that let you hide weapons just as easily....ARE allowed.(that's just stupid )
uniforms were supposed to help stop the bullying at schools.
...i saw a kid (a few months after they started the uniforms thing )down here having his arms held out by two kids , who were also trying to punch him. (if I hadn't been ridin a bus, I would've gotten off and at least would've drawn a teacher's attention to them)...and this was in a schoolyard...a small one.
And finally.....
some parents claim video games make their kids violent.
alot of these same parents (not all of them, of course) seem to be the ones that buy their kids the violent games in the first place.
