In game 4 of the 1947 World Series, Yankee pitcher Bill Bevens had a no-hitter going with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning. He had a one-run lead, but there were runners on first and second base, both having walked.

Pinch hitter Cookie Lavagetto then hit a walk-off two run double to win the game for Brooklyn. So, Bevens was the losing pitcher with a complete game one-hitter. :rowfull:

I like that tradition Mils. And yeah 2020 messed up everything but now with people going back to mostly a 2019-normal life it's nice to have these things back!
 
Yes, very few places where I'm required to mask up any more. Notably, at the polling place as a poll worker and at medical offices.

The last time I wore a mask was in June at a doctor's office. Even when I went to the dentist they don't wear it anymore.

Too many things during the pandemic made me realize what we were doing wasn't logical...
Just like the NBA players sitting on the bench wearing masks in 2020 and then taking them off to jump on each other on the court lol. Kind of defeats the purpose.

Exactly. Like wearing a mask for 20 seconds while walking from the door of a restaurant to a table and then taking it off for an hour while you're eating.

Exactly. My uncle actually lost his mask in a diner. He left it somewhere and we're going out to leave he's like no I can't leave because I'm not wearing a mask so he proceeds to walk all over the diner without one asking everyone if they've seen it lol. I was cracking up.

I start mine Thanksgiving Eve. I bring in breakfast every year that morning to work and we leave early afternoon.
 
Yes it is...I always say it's the most fun work day of the year.
