There's one other thing that bothers me about Facebook, and this is why I wish Facebook was more like the TMF actually. (Without the mention of tickling of course).

Jeff, I like how the TMF is set up, with the separate message board, and chatroom. I don't visit the chat as often as I used to, and mostly post on the board now, but.. I like how you can post on the board, and focus on that, and go into the chatroom, and focus on convos there, instead of doing multiple thinga at one time.

Say, if I visit Facebook to post a reply to something Jim Gardner said. I then am subjected to multiple instant messages from family/friends, etc, when I want to focus on reading and replying to Mr Gardner.

I know that Facebook has too many members to have just one chatroom the way we do, but.. the more I spend time on both sites, the more I like this site's format better, so please don't change it, lol.

Another thing about Facebook I don't think is good.

Everyone has probably seen the "Likes" button on Facebook. I have a few of them checked off that are predictable for all who know me. WPVI in Philly, my fav station. Jim Gardner, my fav newsguy, a few of his cute female newscasters, esp Cecily Tynan, his weather babe. The Braves, Barack Obama, etc. For whatever reason, I clicked the Like button for Heather Tesch, a former Weather Channel girl who worked there for a long time. Now, I want to delete that "Like", just because it isn't relevant anymore. However, instead of being able to quietly delete it like on a buddy list, I have to push the "unlike" button, which signifies something negative. Since my family can see this page, I don't want to them to see that, so I have to just keep it as is.

I seriously wish Facebook was more private. The public nature of it can be very annoying.,

I don't think anyone can see it when you "unlike" something. It just undoes the original 'like'. And you can turn off Facebook Chat so as not to get all those instant messages you were talking about.

Thanks for the info, Mairead. I wasn't aware of that. .

I turned off the chat on my Facebook page, so now I can go there in peace without getting imed all the time.

Thanks again, Mairead.

Facebook makes smart people into retards, and functioning social beings into anti-social shitheads. I just can't believe it.

I can't help but feel that you're thinking about me when you typed this. 😉
