Favorite Cartoon tickling episode?

All good choices so far...but my personal favorite is one of my earliest memories: A "man-tickling-plant" scene with the plant ticklins a guy, a girl, and threee talking pandas on the old cartoon "pandamonium"

Wwas the first time that witnesing tickling gave that "warmfuzzy" feeling. lol!

I remember that scene extremely clearly. It also had quite an effect on me. I remember finding it quite fascinating. In fact, one of my stories ("The Tickle Lily") is based on that scene, tho' entirely reset and with an all-human, all-female cast. I always regretted there was only one girl in the actual show, and not a pretty one either.

Still, the cartoon scene that had the biggest impact on me has to be the climactic tickle monster scene in Raggedy Ann and Andy, where the huge sea monster tickles all the characters. It was rediscovering that scene when I was about 9, listening to it on the soundtrack album and reading the description of it on the record sleeve over and over, that I really realized how into tickling I was. (That monster, Gazooks, has also reappeared in 2 of my stories.)

Surely someone else also remembers that scene?

Off the top of my head, I remember an episode of Woody Woodpecker, (though I don't know if he was actually IN this cartoon), there was this hunter or something chasing Woody, or Chilly Willy or someone and he passes by this canvas. On the canvas is a painting of a woman in some sort of sleeveless garb, holding a clay jar on her head. The hunter guy grabs a brush and starts tickling the woman's armpit with the brush as she begins to laugh and laugh. Eventually, she takes the jar on her head and breaks it over his head.

One other one I seem to remember seeing quite often is a Bugs Bunny cartoon where he's battling a cave man type guy that he keeps calling "nature boy". At one point, the barefoot cave man falls into the bunny hole, with his feet sticking out. Bugs begins to tickle his feet and as he laughs, Bugs says "how nature boy can you get?"..... I never understood that.

Another favorite (these keep coming to me as I write!) was an episode of Ghostbusters. Near the end, the guys come back from a job and Janine makes some smart-ass comment. It closes with the 5 of them, (4 busters and Slimer) moving toward her menacingly. The screen goes blank and she laughs "Guys that tickles" or something like that.

Lastly, one I only remember seeing once, the Abbott and Costello cartoon... a take on Jack and the Beanstalk and as they are caught by the Giant, they run down his arm and tickle him to avoid being eaten. The Giant laughs and runs off, with Bud saying "Keep tickling Lou!"

Woody was in that bit you remember, 'rizer. he was actually being chased (ever notice how many cartoon plots involve chases?) by an artist.

secondly, the episode of The Real Ghostbusters you're referring to was the first appearance of Samhain. Janine surprises the boys at the end of the episode with a glowing Jack-O-Lantern, unaware that they'd just done battle with the malevolent spirit of Halloween. They close in on her and as the camera pulls into a long fade from the exterior of the firehouse, Janine starts wailing that they're tickling her and to cut it out.

This will date me somewhat, but my earliest (and one of my fondest) memory is of a Touche Turtle cartoon. He and his sidekick, a dog, were chasing a giant bug. At one point the dog fell onto a wire hanging by his ankles, and the bug landed on the wire and started tickling the dog's foot with its forefinger, if a bug can have a forefinger. And yes, it did do the evil "kitchy kitchy koo"...loved it! Also loved those Popeye cartoons mentioned here...

Cartoons...hehe...

I have 2 distinct favorites from my childhood. One is from the "13 Ghosts Of Scooby Doo" when they had Shaggy, Scooby, Daphne, Scrappy and this little latin kid named Rif-Raff as the cast. Well anyway in the one episode (forget name) Daphne was put into a deep trance of some kind by this evil sorceror. And theres a scene where the others are trying to revive her, including shaggy tickling her bare foot with a feather. No actual laughter, but the visual was enough for me at that age. The other one is from Josie and the Pussycats where the semi-dorky brother of Alexandra, Alexander, gets feather tickled on both feet by this pendulum feather duster thing while strapped to a table. WHY COULDNT IT HAVE BEEN JOSIE!!!?!?!?!? WHY!?!?!?? :cry1: :cry1: :cry1: (therein lies the source of my catgirl fixation. Her and Cheetarah from the Thundercats)
