Former Argent guitarist Russ Ballard wrote Since You Been Gone, and it appeared on his 1976 album Winning.

The most notable covers are by Head East on their 1978 album of the same name (posted in the 70s thread) and this 1979 cover by Rainbow on their Down to Earth album, and they did it very well.



Linda Ronstadt covered this 1974 Dolly Parton song on her 1979 album Prisoner in Disguise.
