First Try.. Didn;t Make It.. (Insurance Exam)

I'm home from my exam. The result was not what I'd hoped. I didn't pass, with a score of 61%.

The questions seemed much more difficult then what was asked on the at home and proctored study finals.

I told my family, and they were supportive. My aunt said getting in the 60s isn't far off, and my dad felt I was very nervous.

Of course, I also told my trainer.

I'm not going to give up of course. More studying, another review class, and another exam, ASAP.

One thing did piss me off: When the "monitor", or whatever she was called, of the testing center, saw my grade.. she was like "I guess you have to study harder". It was a putdown, and an uninformed comment, for two reasons. One, how the fuck do you know how hard I studied? Did you know I did night and day, for hours a day, and took final exams for weeks until I passed? Do you also know that I'm not a good test taker? You fucking know nothing about me, so monitor the test without your comments.

I'm hopeful any comments will be supportive.

And I bet the monitor didn't have to take a test to get her position.... So, a 61 the first time on the "real McCoy"...I'd still say good job. Just keep positive thoughts, you've got a feel for the real exam now, so go show that idiot, I mean monitor, a thing or two...and when you pass, use your best duck voice and yell "AFLAC".

Keep at it man. You've seen the enemies moves already.....go back to the drawing board...study BETTER/SMARTER and reengage the enemy to get that coveted 70 or better. Don't let yourself get wrapped up in ANYTHING that takes you further away from your goal.

The problem is.. the questions I studied for months, and the cram sheets, didn't have what these people asked. I'm going to ask my review teacher that next week. My trainer didn't email me yet, but I want to believe he's just busy.

Yes, bug... I was told by both the review guy, and Jay, that many fail the first time. I did poorly on the first practice tests, and finals, etc, and then passed.

I';m down, but not out.

GQ will maybe.. love this.. but.. I had to decline.

I went to see Maria, and she was mega supportive. I love that woman. If she would,. I'd run away with her in a heartbeat. I know she just cares for me as a friend, though.

This other girl,. starts, talking to me. It was just the wrong time, and she really was not my type. I talk, but not as much as this girl, and she smoked cigs like a fiend, which turns me off in a partner. She went to get something, pay her bill, and said she'd be back, but I just bailed. Everyone on here knows I'm never normally a flake, but,., I didn't want to get suckered into buying this girl coffee, and spending time.

Right now I need to just chill and collect my thoughts.

I'm deathly afraid of the email from my trainer. No one thinks I'm going to get fired yet, I just feel like shit.

Hopefully, I'll regroup, and can then figure out what comes next.

I just heard from my trainer. He said we will talk Monday. I'm going to take one full day, and not even look at anything until some time on Friday. I came home and fell asleep for hours. It was a release of exhaustion.

Another girl started talking to me, while I was talking to Maria.. I had an opportunity maybe for a date/coffee, etc, but I declined. It just wasn't the right time. I was frustrated, and she was talking a mile a minute, so I bailed.

I figure, plenty of other fish in the seas. Now's not the right time.

Hmmmm. Still not sure what part of the story I'd love. My last two relationships ended because I sought more success in my life. Had I stayed with the first I would never have become a pilot. The most recent one I would never have the opportunity to fully realize my vision for a business...it simply wouldn't have fit in her plan for us. Sooooo I can certainly understand putting off women/love for the work at hand.

I do like the fact that you are talking to women. I would have been more happy if you did actually ask her out. Hanging out with her isn't marriage...I'm not sure when your last date was (who was president and what term?) but just getting used to the modern dating world could help. And you could make a friend that could introduce you to other women.

It's been a while since my last date. I lived in Lancaster.

I see your point, but this wasn't the right girl. I found her annoying. I know I have to do more to meet women. Right now I'm so fixated on my career, to make myself more attractive to women.

Maria is a woman. I've been talking to her for over a year. I talk to many different women in the resturants and retail places here, even if I don't ask them out on dates. Its a good social experience, and as for actual dating, I know I will get there.

My friend Barney didn't pass the CPA exam the first time, and, while my uncle was an accountant, and had a good position, I think my uncle was always jealous of my dad, because my dad is a CPA, and my uncle could never pass the exam.

I'm going to rest today, and then tomorrow get back to work. I'll go to the all day review class again, and see what happens after that.

I went back to the place Maria works again today.. The same girl from yesterday was there. This time.. we sort of had an impromptu date.

Her name is Vicky, and she's very nice, petite, with dark hair. She did drink several glasses of wine. She does smoke, which doesn't thrill me, but she's a very kind person. We exchanged numbers, and I told her when I'm done with my review class, I'm going to call her. Vicky didn't want to come to my apartment, because she said that she didn't want me to get the wrong idea.

I also didn't tell her about my foot or tickle fetishes, and or ask her if she is ticklish yet.

My advice to you....fetish talk shouldn't even cross your mind to bring up till you two have had sex. Except for the rare girl that actually shares your fetish...mentioning it early will NOT increase attraction for you...at best it will have a negligible effect...at worst..she calls the cops. Most likely....she'll blow you off.

In the past.. I mentioned the fetish after my ex gf and I were physically involved/foreplay. I certainly wouldn't bring it up with Vicky, if applicable, until we had been physical. Foreplay if not actual intercourse.

Right now I just want to try and get a scheduled first date with her. I'm going to wait until after my review class on Monday. I told her that Im very busy with work the next few days.

Well.. an update to this story.. also posted in my blog.

I got woken up by a text at 430am, which scared me.. because I do have a 73 year old father with a heart condition.

It was Vicky, and we talked.

I found out, she likes me as a friend, but, for whatever reason.. she seems to be in love with the kitchen manager at the place Maria works at.

While I was pissed at getting woken up at 430am, her not liking me in "That way", probably was for the best. She's really not my type, and as I said before, she smokes and drinks heavily.

She is a nice person though. Nothing wrong with talking to more women.

Anyway, she more than likely has girlfriends. If not hangout with her and talk to other women when you're with them...it's much easier to. The more attractive your female company is....the easier it is to talk to more attractive women....they're just more open.

I plan to keep in touch with her. If she has gfs, fine. If not, and she wants me, she has to give up the smoking completely, and cut back the drinking. I can handle a social drink every once in a while, but don't want to be with a heavy drinker. Smoker? NOOOOOO! Not after losing my mom and paternal grandfather to cancer.

LOL. Women have a hard time not smoking during their pregnancies....they aren't going to stop for a guy, let alone a guy she's already verbally put in the friend zone. And if a woman tried to limit my alcohol intake(unless I was driving or flying of course) I'd laugh! Perhaps even ordering obnoxious drinks to get under her skin more. Lol. I wouldn't even begin to try and limit a woman's anything. It will scare women off. If you're not attracted to her because of those habits that's fine.

That's still pretty awesome that you made a new female friend. First the job lead and now this...keep taking steps forward!

As for me, I'm going to stay here and work. I told her if she wants to meet, and not come up to my apt, we can meet in my lobby for safety.

Vicky called me from TGIF, but seemed hung on staying there, so I passed. She'll be back again., Still no word from my trainer. GRRRRR! I have no idea what's going on. Casino tomorrow, most likely.
