Flair, not just a hack, but he's a liar too.

Regardless of how you feel about His wrestling stile (like it or hate it) doesn't change the fact that Shawn's matches with Bret are what made him a superstar. Not to mention that Bret saved Shawn's life at during the Iron Man Match.

The word is "style" you dumbass.

On topic: I wouldn't say Bret made Shawn a superstar, but would say his matches with Shawn definitely helped make him one. I have never criticized Bret's wrestling ability. My only downside with Bret would be his ability on the stick. His interviews were dry as mud.

Off topic: What really disturbs me Slaver is that you can remember some meaningless match from 1990-whatever and can name who won what meaningless, worthless wrestling title and yet you spell like a 5 year old.

Really puts your priorities in life in order, eh.

If only you gave your education a third of that attention you give ridiculous nonsense such as who leads ratings in pro wrestling. If you don't take yourself seriously Slaver, no one else ever will. You need to grow up and stop living in fantasy wrestling land. Do yourself a favor. Get an education and maybe others will take you seriously.

I posted a response on this thread because like I said, I used to watch wrestling when I was younger. You are just a prick who attacks anyone who doesn't share your personal opinion. Like your ridiculous worship of William Shatner and Lynda Carter, two B list at most actors. You need to get a life. The show 'Wonder Woman' was terrible. She was hot but thats all that needs mentioned. I await the 'you are a douche bag' typical response from you. Cause thats all you neanderthal brain works at. Buh bye, idiot.

1. You want to attack Slaver, that's cool. He brings it upon himself for the reasons you mention.

2. I do agree Wonder Woman wasn't the best show in the world and yes, you did mention Lynda Carter was hot. I'm cool with that too.

3. But, I have to disagree with the third. William Shatner is one of the few celebrities that can claim to be known anywhere around the world and not for infamous reasons. He has a very accomplished background and is regarded as a very well rounded entertainer.

1. Yeah, I'm pretty much done with him.

2. Lynda Carter, hot. Wonder Woman, a stupid show.

3. Ok, point taken with Shatner. I'll give him credit for that, plus he can laugh at himself. Some celebrities take themselves too seriously.

4. I guess I was mostly pissed at this guy for not just attacking me but anyone who doesn't share his opinion. Being civil is not difficult and I suppose I stooped to his level. Apologies.

You're right. Bret did save Shawn's life during the match. During that match he also saved a child from a burning building, was elected Canadian Prime Minister, discovered the cure for male pattern baldness, completed a triathalon, captured a terrorist, adopted a homeless kitten, and married a super model.

Probably some nonsense he read or heard in one of those 100% truthful, absolutely factual wrestling autobiographies. It's not like someone in pro wrestling has ever said something thought to be true at the time.. *cough see title of this thread cough*

I'm just about to watch a match from the 80's (1986 to be exactly). The British Bulldogs vs The Hart Foundation at the Boston Gardens. It's not the era that their from, it's the age they are. Hogan is pushing 60 and Flair is already there. I think it would be great to see them stay involved. Hogan would be great on the commentary and Flair would make a great mouth piece for a stable, just so long as they remember it's about pushing the new guys and not getting themselves over. Best time in wrestling as far as great matches was probably the 80's and early 90's. Now RoH is trying to bring it back, and I really hope they can sign a tv deal with Canadian television so I can watch it up here as well.

This is what a Pro Wrestling Performance should look like...

Damn dude, that was the best wrestling match I've seen in sooooo long. That was pure fucking skill and showmanship and I was mesmerized for the whole video.

Definitely need more of that - I'd actually start watching again.

For a further note, this match is miles beyond anything bret hart has ever done

Also Hart couldn't hold a candle to this match and THIS is coming from a Kobashi Mark

Have you ever watched the match? When Shawn takes that big leap off the top while Bret was outside the ring he was so far off the mark, that if Bret hadn't moved to were he was going to land, he would have smashed onto the barricade. Saying he saved his life was probably an exaggeration on my part, but he probably would have suffered a major injury.

I respect the Japanese Wrestlers, but...

For a further note, this match is miles beyond anything bret hart has ever done

Hart ang Dynamite were having matches of that calibure before those guys were even born, and they were still having them in the 80's. I would guess these two probably grew watching workers like Hennig, Steamboat, Savage, Michaels, the Hart Brothers, maybe ever early Scott Stiener, so saying it's beyond anything Bret's ever done is foolish. Hennig and Hart could have had just as good of a match before Curt hurt his back.

Also Hart couldn't hold a candle to this match and THIS is coming from a Kobashi Mark

<object width="425" height="349"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/SUnIS83oIyQ?version=3&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/SUnIS83oIyQ?version=3&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="349" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

Good match, but I can't say it's any better then anything I've seen Bret do. Other then that Spinning heel kick (the was more Owen's thing) there's nothing there that Hart hasn't done. That may have something to do with the fact that Bret was trained by Katsuji Adachi & Kazuo Sakurada, as well as his father and Harley race. It also helped that he was working with wrestlers from all over the world before he ever left Canada. Japan, South America, Europe, guys from all over the world worked for Stampede Wrestling. Also, you should know Bret worked for NJPW in the very early 80's, before he went to work for McMahon.

AND hart wishes he could get a crowd pop like this

<object width="425" height="349"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/5ANvKlcT6F4?version=3&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/5ANvKlcT6F4?version=3&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="349" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

WOW, a Japanese guy getting a big pop in Japan... that's as impressive as Hulk Hogan getting a big Pop in the USA, or Hart getting a Big Pop in Canada... oh wait they are from those places. I wonder if the pop would be as good in Germany as they were for Bret, or South Africa, or anywhere outside Canada and Japan... some how I don't think so.

I will give you one thing. You have to be the dumbest wrestling wanna be fan ever!!:trainwreck:

1. You don't know ages, Kobashi is older than DK
2. Where is DK now? In a wheel chair, so much for his "Wrestling skills" when it was top rope moves that ended his career
3. Many Gaijins got huge pops in Japan, Gary Albrecht, Vader, Williams, Hansen, list continues
4. Show me when Hart has done a powerbomb, or ANY OF THESE MOVES
<object width="425" height="349"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/f3ZphqxWOck?version=3&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/f3ZphqxWOck?version=3&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="349" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

I didn't say DK was smart, I just said he and Bret had great matches. A power bomb? Big fucking deal a power bomb... Sid and Nash do Power Bombs, anything they can do Bret could do. I grant you that all those guys got huge pops in Japan, and Bret got huge popes everywhere else, and probably in Japan as well... though I am not sure how often he went to Japan during his peek years. My point (that you seem to thick to understand) is what kind of fan reaction would these guys get outside of Japan. Hart wasn't just big in Japan (contrary to what Flair would tell you) he was a huge draw all over the world. Do you then Stan Hansan, Vader, Gary Albrecht, or Steve Williams would get a bigger reaction then Hart in South Africa, India, Kuwait, or Germany. So what if they get a better reaction in Japan, that one country vs the rest of the world.

Wasn't it Bret Hart himself who said before he went to WCW he could never see himself working for another organization other than the WWF and to do so would be taking a step down? That 'some other organizations' are throwing around a lot of money but he prides himself on not being greedy?

Gee, guess he's as much a hack and liar as Flair is.. :idunno:

I think you should look up the world hack, it has nothing to do with honesty. next is that fact that Bret turned down a 3 million dollar contract for a million dollar contract. Now that sounds sort of funny "cry for the millionaire" bs but it's still a 3rd of the pay, and he did it out of loyalty to Vince. Third, Bret agreed to be released from his contract as a favor to Vince, because he claimed he couldn't afford to keep him. Lastly saying you couldn't see yourself working for another company, and saying you wouldn't work for another company are different statements, Bret stating he didn't want to work for anybody else, and Flair saying he wouldn't work for anybody else. One is a preference, the other is an absolute.

ST

Thanks for saying this...

2. Where is DK now? In a wheel chair, so much for his "Wrestling skills" when it was top rope moves that ended his career

...the man puts his body on the line for years, as one of the most talented in ring performers of all time, and you mock his injuries. Only goes to prove what scum wrestling fans are, and what a waist of time it is for these men & women to bust their asses to entertain ungrateful dirt like you and others like you. It wasn't the smartest thing, but every thing he did, he did for the fans who paid his bills. What you should be asking is, where are all the fans for him, since they are well aware of his situation? Aren't their any wealthy fans out their who could help him out in return for what he's done to entertain them? Come to think of it, where are the promoters he crippled himself making rich, I can't imagine any other industry would allow something like this to happen, only pro wrestling. The greedy promoters, the self-centered wrestlers, and the selfish fans. Fuck them all.

Now maybe you see my point when I bitch about how the industry doesn't look out for the wrestlers the way it should.

I never said hack had anything to do with honesty dumbass. You do not know the difference between 'waste' and 'waist' and you are suggesting for me to look up a word. LMAO that's hilarious. You are a dumbass. As far as shitman Hart goes, he is a hack. You've said yourself he never should have been in that match with Vince. Now that I've given you a clue, something you never have, do something useful and look up the word hack and tell me what it means. It might actually get your ass out of the fantasy of useless pro wrestling stats and you might learn something like a basic skill in life. You know, the things like basic spelling and basic reading comprehension. Something actually useful.

Secondly, you're blowing smoke out your ass. No matter how you try and twist it, your boy shitman Hart said something then went back on it and proved the opposite. I guess things changed that turned his opinion and changed his thinking. Just like I've said all along, it happens in life. Sometimes things change and circumstances warrant doing something you originally thought you never would. That's why divorce and other decisions based on change happens. But you are too thick to understand that and prefer to call people liars based on their words alone when you aren't in their shoes.

Waist is basically you stomach, and waste is the time spent watching a Ric Flair match. I said Bret never should have come back to the WWE period, and doing so proves him a sell-out not a hack (again you prove you don't know what the word means). If you feel pro wrestling is a useless fantasy then why do you continue to respond to comments I make on it? I go to work everyday, I hang out with friends on the week end. I am bother a licensed union tradesmen, and a licensed security guard.

Hack, Noun 1: plodder, slogger - someone who works slowly and monotonously for long hours (that pretty much defines all of Flair's lame 60 minuet matches).

What changed Bret's mind was a request from Vince to let him out of his contract, nether Bret nor McMahon have ever denied that. Had the financial and political environment in the WWF been better, Bret probably never would been asked to leave, and most likely never would have. It's not a matter of being thick, it's a matter of what he said, in an unscripted interview, he wouldn't work for TNA, he has crapped all over TNA back when he worked for the WWE. Just about every time that idiot opens his mouth he contradicts himself. He's a shitty wrestler, a liar, and would have been finished in the 80's if Terry Allan hadn't gotten into a car accident. Divorce has nothing to do with this conversation, and you are an idiot for bringing it up. Honest is honest and a liar is a liar, Flair is a liar.

I am not happy to read that, but it just shows you that the old saying stands "Be careful how you treat people on the way up, because they are the same people passing you buy on your way down." Maybe if Flair hadn't snubbed Austin when they were in WCW together they could have worked a program that would have at least gotten him out of hock with the IRS (that's hock Heeko, not hack, ol' Ric could never buy his way out of being that). What I want to know is, where is Triple H when the guy he grew up admiring is going through all this shit? He is a top 5 guy McMahon Inc, so can't he get "The Nature Boy" a job doing something? I wouldn't wish addiction of any sort on anybody, but as another Nature Boy used to say "It couldn't a happened to a nicer guy!".

Wooooo!

What I find particular funny is that Flair is threatening to sue Grantland for accusing him of having alcoholic cardiomyopathy, when he admits it himself in his own book.

Flair is one of the most successful and entertaining wrestlers in history, but he needs to get his life together.
