You might actually find that this is a really liberating experience - if people say anything to you after like "eurgh, feet", you can just say "actually I think a nice pair of feet on a girl can be pretty sexy". Unfortunately for some goofy has a certain point... I don't agree completely, but the part about ruining their friendship is pretty high. In worst case scenario he and she would never be friends again, his fetish would be public knowledge, not to mention all embarrassment.
