So when i was searching for photography books for my weekly gallery assignment scans for my photo class, i came across a neat little book called "Odd Jobs" it was a collection of photos of jobs that are not very main stream like: Crime scene photographer, condom tester, perfumer, piano page turner, and video game tester. Among those was Foot Model, while not that odd for my standards (people gotta advertise Jergen's lotion commercials and shoes right?), what caught my eye was the amount she gets paid while working. I know for sure models for life drawing art courses do get paid by the hour, but not that much. I've seen regular fashion models get paid from $12 to $100 per hour.

I guess for someone who puts that much care into it should deserve to get paid, i just think that I have friends who could be great if not better foot models if they just put the same time into it.

Anyway here's the two pages from the book.

300$ an hour? :wow: No,i think not.If she can get that more power to her though.

I wonder what i could get for my right index finger..:idunno:

Thats a specialty. There are many beautiful fashion models, but finding absolutely perfect, photogenic feet and a woman willing to keep them like that. Well, thats something you can't find on any street corner. I personally think $300 per hour is cheap.

Hell pay me just $300 straight and you can take pics of my toes. hahaha! Extra cash in my pocket never hurts

Heck, I'd say that if you take good care of your feet and need the cash, that might not be a bad idea. Plenty of ladies on this very site that I believe more than qualify.

All i want to know is; can she chew gum and whistle Dixie at the same time?

Years ago I read an article on hand models. One model was the hands of Christie Brinkley, Stephanie Seymour etc in a vairety of ads, besides the ads which did not display a face, such as ads for soaps, lotions, caring for babies, etc. It was competive field and her hands had to be perfect, which meant no bruises, cuts, blemishes, hangnails, wrinkles, etc. She wore gloves when not modeling, did not open soda cans or other pop tops, expose them to the elements or hot water, etc.

Her hands and the hands of other top hand models were discussed in length in what made them ideal for photography and advertising. One man specialized in brute, tough guy ads. Another was used only in tuxedo ads, high fashion jewelry, etc.

Unlike models for art classes and even the fetish scene, specialty models are being paid by cooporations who are spending a bundle to promote their image. The standards for their special part are quite high, which means they are going to be paid quite well.

The hands models were paid handsomely but since they did not work as often as Christie, Stephanie, etc, their annual income, which was very nice, was nowhere did the super model tax bracket.

could it be because foot models are still not mainstream there for a specialty and so a different commission for the work??
