Gagged while tickled?

In my opinion tickling and gags are not a good mix for several reasons. If we're talking about vigorous intensive tickling, the ticklee needs to process a lot of air. Anything that restricts the breathing in any way seems unnecessarily foolish to me. Why not just clamp a clothespin on the nose while your at it?

Ball gags also make the normal process of swallowing saliva difficult, and easy to choke on

I've been gagged rather severely, including full ball gag with duct tape across, and I've never experienced any problems whatsoever in my ability to breath or swallow saliva.

That being said, gags like most aspects of any fetish, are users' choice; one way or another it's a matter of preference.

I have been gagged once or twice by my tickler - it makes him feel more dominant and in control and me feel more submissive.

Since I couldn't shout out a safeword as clearly he gave me a tennis ball to hold and if I would normally be saying a safeword, I throw the ball instead (usually at him so he gets the message!!!)

We've tried different types of gags, I prefer rolled up socks tied in place or something. I need a drink of water afterwards. I've not tried tape as I don't like the idea of peeling it off afterwards. If anyone has done that, is it OK?

I'm really surprised to see how many lees like to be gagged. As a ler, hearing the laughter is a huge part of the experience so i'd have to say i'm not a fan of the gag.

Personally, I'm against them. Tickling without hearing the laughter is like a burger without cheese. It's missing something.

I look at it more as a safety issue. Of course, one could argue that whether to be safe or not is a matter of preference.

The safety issue lies in the experience of the users, not the equipment.

An experienced dominant or submissive knows how to properly apply/wear a gag, the type of gag to use, and whether or not they are even comfortable using one.

As for safe words, actions are usually used in place of a spoken word. An experienced BDSM would also know the limits of their partner in play, rendering a safe word/action to a back up function.

Apply a gag and to ask once in awhile is everything alright. Making sure the person with the gag is able to breath properly and isn't going to break down. I prefer tape in some cases since ballgags seem risky unless you know what you're doing.

And a safety conscious dominant or submissive knows that any gimmick that impedes vital functions like breathing constitutes a safety issue, particularly when the gagged victim is expected to breath heavily. The degree to which safety matters to the experienced dom and sub is again, a matter of preference so long as both are aware of the risk. You should ask some of the more experienced BDSM people about R.A.C.K. They'll confirm what I'm saying.
