And so I dont look like a prick for being so quick to support the idea of a women only forum....I agree with that statement above just as strongly.

Unfortunately, while the aforementioned 'man-children' may represent the smallest denominator here, they typically represent the loudest and most annoying. I would rather the women have a place to go to talk about things and still come here than for them to just get fed up with the silliness here and bounce completely.

What's stopping some guy from registering an account using the screenname of a verified TMF female? How can you be sure that the person who registers as "isabeau," "lk70," or anyone else is actually her? And what if the woman who's name got borrowed doesn't happen to get an account or visit the girls' only forum, so no one ever recognizes what's happened?

It seems to me like the process of verifying that someone is female before allowing them to register is not only impossible, but might actually encourage jerks to borrow the identities of actual women in order to circumvent it.

I think it's fine to have a women-only forum, and state that only women should visit or post there. But I think it's disingenuous to claim that it's truly a women-only environment, when you can't conclusively make sure that that's the case.

This thread is only going to increase the odds of some weirdos sneaking in under another name. It should have been done on PM basis, girls contacting girls instead of revealing it out in the open. Best of luck with it though.

But that's the nature of the problem: if you want a board with people on it, you have to make it known. Otherwise, all you have is the few people you've met in person so you know they're female... and in that case you could've just said whatever you wanted to say in PM.

I don't think a female-only "secret society" is in anyone's best interests - it's exclusionary even to other women, the ones who are new and/or haven't shown their faces at events to "prove" that they're female. So have a female-interest forum, just be realistic about the fact that gender can't truly be verified, so you can't keep men out.

I've correctly verified the gender of 5 males trying to get on our forum. They have been denied. I would rather not share my ways of finding out their gender on here and comprimising the "security" of our forum, so we'll leave it as that. Any female is welcome to sign up, new or old to the TMF, but if we find out that they're not female, they will be denied and/or banned. I screen everyone before they are able to post. Also, the forum is only viewable to members, and we have a forum in there viewable only with passwords by the more confirmed females. Anything said in there is definately private. We have that for the women who have things to say and need to know it is kept private.

I'm not saying one or even a few might not get pasrt our radar, but so far we've done a pretty damn good job at keeping it as it is intended for.

Anyway's we're not going anywhere. As for the guys who want their own, why not? Go for it! If you want that then what's stopping you? Males dominate this forum anyways, so I don't see how the men could complain. Well when you tell somebody that they can't go there or they are not allowed, it is human nature to want to go there. If the forum was open, and guys saw that you were only talking about purses, tampons, pregnancy, etc. then most guys would quickly say "screw this" and leave. The fact is you made secret, which makes guys curious.

In before it turns out that "girlsdoittoo" is actually a man posing as a woman. Now, I'm not entirely sure, really, but seeing as the account has only been active since 8/15 of this year, and factoring in both that this is the internet and the entire profile/posting style seems to be saying "hey guys, I'm a girl," I'd give it 70/30 odds.

Furthermore, what exactly are you going to accomplish by having a forum that's purported to be "women only" splayed across a forum where the vast majority of the several thousand visitors a day are, quite literally, simply here to get their rocks off? It seems a tad counterintuitive to me that you have a link posted everywhere to this forum, and yet you keep on talking about how ONLY WOMEN ARE ALLOWED TO JOIN NO BOYS ALLOWED. Now, we all know girls have cooties, but if I didn't care about that I could put together an identity for myself, register for your forum, and post in there pretending to be a woman. I can guarantee you right now that there are people who have cared that much, and that many of those posting there are, in fact, men who have created identities of women. Say what you will about your super duper ultra sophisticated guy detection system, if I wanted to I could get access to your forum. Perhaps someday I'll be bored enough to carry through with that.

Which brings me back to my point, that being, what is the point? Is it solely there to titillate the men of the forum with thoughts of a forum where, instead of twenty threads entitled "orgasms while tickling?" you have a different forum with twenty threads entitled "orgasms while tickling?" populated entirely by beautiful nymphomaniac blondes

I understand that there are creepy men out there. I have met many of them personally. However, I will say, with no judgement on whether its right or wrong, that if you register on a fetish message board with a feminine handle and posting manner, you're pretty much guaranteed to have millions of somewhat creepy guys trying to message you, talk to you, etc. And while I guess it sounds a bit like the "you pretty much asked him to rape you by the way you dressed" argument, it does hold a bit of truth that, well, you probably should have known better than to name yourself "cutetklishgirl3542" if you're worried about guys talking to you.

And finally, if you really have something that you just want to ask women, why not PM one of the many who use this site? All of the same helpful advice with noticeably less voyeurism!

I couldn't even finish reading your post because it was mind numbing. Aside from the fact that we have NO MEN on our site and that I can guarentee that, we also have the help of an Admin on here to make it even more difficult to get past. So go ahead, do what you will to get across our super elite no boys allowed radar if it's going to make you feel better. No big deal. If you can do it, I will give you a cookie.

Secondly, I find it ignorant that you claim that I would be a man in disguise when in fact I have photos in the members area AND my boyfriend just so happens to be a good candidate for someone who can confirm my identity along with the numerous friends I have on here. I think my register date is an unreliable source of proof as far as my gender goes. That's almost saying that your low post count, lack of profile information and the screen name you have chosen makes you a female. For all I know, your name could mean "simulated man". Even if you are male, I think "simulated male" would be pretty accurate.

Back on the topic of the forum, I find it even more flattering than all the men who have tried and failed to get on our forum that you and many others seem to make it a huge spectacle. It's rather immature to say the least. Say what you will about a "girls only" forum being immature, but the only reason it would seem that way is because guys are just a little hurt in the ass that they can't be involved in something. Oh darn! So sad! The more you and everyone make a big deal of it, the more popular it gets and the more satisfied we are that we have a place without you on it. So please, further prove the motivation for our forum, because you are making it even more obvious as to WHY it exists!
