Honestly, that was the only part of the movie that didn't make any sense to me. Creates a plot hole. If he went back in time and lived with her, then how would he have been around to do all the stuff he did during the original avengers movies? It was a cute little retirement send-off they gave Evans and the character, but kinda throws the rest of the movie for a loop and raises many questions.

Sure but Tilda Swinton only approves the Avengers' plan to take infinity stones from other timelines if they return and put them back in the exact same place that they were so how is that possible if you can't go back and change the past in another timeline?
