OMG shatup! lol. all this talk about video games is driving me nuts! i'm really low on cash, so i can't get anything for a few months, so all this talk is like waving a bag of crack in front of a crack addict's face, lol. yes! for 1 year i have been waiting for halo 2 and half-life 2 to come out, i've been dying for it, but it got so bad, had to sell my xbox for $50 since i needed the cash, and i'm still kicking myself for it. anyway, i'm drooling over here, so i'm DEFINITELY gonna get it ASAP.

Yes and hopefully it will be as good as it's made up to be. Halo 1 was amazing; I'm just hoping its sequel will be as good. The videos and previews look promising, but I have gotten my hopes up for a game this big in the past only to be let down greatly. For example, Final Fantasy X-2. I would explain why but that would be getting off topic…even more than I am now 😀 .

Anyways, the single and regular multi-player aspects of this game look to be fun and innovative, although I have my doubts on how the online gaming will be. I know the creators will do a good job, like they did with every aspect of Halo 1, however every online game has its ups and downs.

Now that you’ve read through my mindless rant, I am glad to say that, yes, I will be picking this game up tomorrow…. If there are any copies left. 🙁

Halo 2? PAH - overhyped. Mortal Kombat Deception was overhyped, as was GTA: San Andreas. I own GTA:SA now. I'm...sort of impressed. Not too much. 😛 Anyhow, funny thing happened - every place that sells video games is getting THREATENED by their higher ups, cuz some idiots at Wal-Mart leaked a copy or two early - 5 people lost their jobs. in about...47 minutes from now (midnight here) Gamestop will be sellin em. Kinda sad... It's just Halo. Clean up your panties and move on.... 😛

halo 2 isnt overhyped. In my opinion, its going to be a successful sequel. Considering the storyline, graphics, are all improved from the last halo. Now if the online component has little to no lag, we can easily say, we are going to be playing this one for months to come.

If you want my opinion about mortal combat deception. Its been over, let it die.

Lol you didn't even play it. I know it would take you forever...... but yeah, Halo 2, way over-hyped, there's no denying it. Might as well just clean the stains out of your panties and deal with it But the thing is, you never mentioned anything about gameplay. Could it be because you know it'll suck already!? Lol. I just checked out the sales figures for Halo 2 and I nearly messed myself. $100 million...yes million...dollars it's opening day. That's more then alot of movies make their entire run, and almost no movies make that their opening weekend. I think it's safe to say Halo 2 is probably the biggest smash in gaming history...but have to say my fav XBox game is Splinter Cell 🙂 Here are some links if you want to read for yourself.

I kinda find that with these first person shooters, if you've played one...you've played them all. But Halo has got something special and really stands out.

i was at a studio yesterday that makes videogame shows for teevee, and they had a copy of halo 2 they were messing around with. it looked exactly like halo 1. but maybe that's just me.

Are you kidding? Put them side to side and you can see the graphics are vastly improved. The entire world of halo 2 is filled with normal maps, and those are really cool.

Consumed by the H2 bug, eh TG? Heh, it looks most pretty, but I'll wait until it morphs into a "Players Gold/Platinum/Unobtanium Edition" at a fraction of its price now to buy. I still need to finish playing H1.....so sad.

sorry, a dune buggy is a dune buggy to me regardless of whether i'm playing a text adventure or a "next generation" console game.

Theres nothing i need to add. ITs a great first person shooter. If you dont like it, i dont care. I like it and 100 million dollars doenst lie. You can stick with your mortal kombat button mashing games, but i will be having loads of fun playing halo2

Lets see......the fact that I didn't like Halo/MK doesn't mean I don't like those type of games. The problem is, people are running out of ideas. That really isn't anyone's fault, but originality is running short.... Halo (the first one), okay, it's a shooting game. Big deal? It may have "awesome" graphics, the gameplay was.....interesting. But the weapons were sub-par, and later on in the game- the levels were boring me. I didn't like those newer alien dudes later in the game. I liked having little battles with the covenant guys....that was fun stuff. Now MK, I don't like because it just lacks orginality all together. Now, you honestly can't bitch about the graphics, because they're as good as Halo's graphics. But....MK: Deception, it's not really all that new. They switched some characters around, and switched their styles, and added Konquest mode (which was sub-par). I liked it for a little bit at first, but then....I dunno, no point. Yeah yeah I beat it 30 times okay now what? lol. I know this won't happen, but they need to make an MK where you actually unlock useful stuff. Alot of the new characters were lame. Infact, all of them. One of em is just a lame rip-off of Ken from street fighter. See what I mean about originality? That would be nice if they made an MK that just keeps expanding, MORE characters, more arenas, more play modes, more mini-games, more stuff. That game was a little too quick. Now...about GTA. Too much micromanagement! You have to worry about eating, working out, raising your skills with guns, taking over other gang territory/protecting your ownm keeping your girlfriend(s) happy, ....god if I wanted to do all that, I'd go talk to my cousins and gangbang with them. Lol. Not to mention, alot of these missions are damn near impossible. Okay, they give you a car that has terrible handling off-road, and terrible high-speed turns in general, and what do they do? They make you race it out in a damn forest! Two problems with games nowadays: They're either boring as hell, or they're made for hardcore gamers who have nothing better to do than play games all day. You can't enjoy a video game when you can't do SQUAT in it!
