On a side note... OMG NOT MORE HARRY POTTER FANS! Seriously they're are SO MANY better fantasy book series' out there! Let it be known that Forgotten Realms is ten times better than harry potter and that Rob Salvatore writes a shit ton better than rowling.

If we're going for fantasy novels that are better than Harry Potter, I believe that anything and everything written by Pratchett knocks Rowling's work out of the park.

Perhaps it takes some convincing. I wasn't even interested or phased by HP until the first movie came out...and by then, there were four books that had been out for years. But I have no desire to explore all things sci-fi or even all fantasy writers. I don't compare apples to oranges - and since I haven't read others' works, I can't claim one is any better than the next. I merely cite that I enjoyed the series. The others may be tons better - but then, I enjoyed C.S. Lewis as well. I also enjoyed The Golden Compass - the first part of the Dark Materials trilogy by Phillip Pullman. The movie was a major disappointment. But I'd still consider reading the rest of the trilogy.
 
I love HP! Can't wait for the 6th movie. No joke I totally keep tabs on the stuff at Mugglenet. Yea, I'm a super nerd.
 
Actually I'm very excited for the next movie. It looks really good.

Your right, it is only a book. A book that people invest hours of their lives to reading and not to be ruined by others. While i am glad that thier is more to the picture, it's still a picture that others don't need to have flashed to them.

For all you rabid Twilight fan girls...Your little precious Edward plays Cedric Diggory int he Fourth Harry Potter film...AND IS KIlLLED!! Mwuhahaha! Though I did like Rob before he was a vampire dude and making the front page in nearly every magazine in America. And I am happy that I knew of him because of Harry Potter, not Twilight.
I have to admit that I read Twilight when it first came out and kinda liked it, but I get annoyed with it now.

Twilight is garbage, laugh out loud horribly written, and by and large the biggest example of a woman who should have had her arms cut off to make it so she couldn't write.

You're a 19 year old romantic, so I can see why you think this series which involves safe tropes involving vampires while essentially marginalizing the actual masterwork of people like Polidori and Stoker to create what is essentially a wet dream for fifteen year olds who opine for some of that darker eye shade of love while still being allowed to look fashionable in their day glo Ambercrombie wear, but all it does is prove how invalid your opinion is to begin with. The story hits too close to home.

Potter might not be masterfully written, but it is executed well. Stephenie Meyer is a fat sack of shit who embarrasses American Literature.

Um... I'm no fan of Twilight, but was that really necessary? I've had my trolling moments too, but I at least try to be less spiteful when doing it.

I would agree that Twilight sucks, but I was referring more to your attack on Aimee herself.

Sure you could throw in that entire middle paragraph, but the view is more a pull back and examination of the given age group, which ironically enough, is the first one to show me I am becoming old and jaded. There is plenty there that is reflective of my opinion of Twilight fans, and for the most part, that 14-19 crowd that finds itself around us 20-25 year olds who still remember grunge. I don't see it as some full frontal assault of her, more so the fanbase and the like.

And in reality, I don't consider it trolling either.

Also of note should be that she has jumped into multiple threads to opine about how great Twilight is, how it is better than TDK or Harry Potter, and hasn't actually justified a single stance, nor a single reason for it. Yeah, I'm going to ask someone who likes something to articulate a thesis as to why they like something which holds up to a firing squad, because if it can't then the opinion is worthless.

Normally, when I believe a person's opinion is invalid, I don't tend to fixate on it.
