I was outed at a high school party back in the day in the act of tickling a girls feet. She was being very flirty in an attempt to cheer me up after a rough break up I had. We were separated from the rest of the people in the basement at that point. I actually played with this girls feet once in class because she was poking her foot along the side of my desk. So her cheer up attempt at this party included her feet. We had fun and she definitely cheered me up.
A while later when we were both back amongst the party crowd, we started talking again and I wanted to tickle her feet some more so we went into the bathroom to play. We didn’t think to lock the door and people came in and busted us mid-tickles. Her laughing drew them in.
I believe I handed it correctly by acting like it was no big deal. There was some teasing and comments, but nothing very serious. I ultimately was very glad it happened because I met and tickled two other girls as a result of that incident.
I’m not ashamed or shy about my interest and appreciation of pretty feet and tickling.

Friends of mine that I've explicitly not told about my shenanigans have dropped pretty explicit hints they're fully aware of what I'm up to. It didn't help we ended up sharing a broader social circle with people who have gotten involved directly with said shenanigans that I didn't initially know. Nobody seems particularly interested in it one way or another though.
A younger me did have trouble remembering to delete the browsing history on the family computer, though.

Yes, I was outed once or twice when I was younger. Apart from this one time involving a family member, there was never any negative repercussions over it. These days I'm totally up front about what I do and nobody cares.
And frankly, if anybody did care, I'd drop them. Life's too short to deal with judgemental bullies. I'd go so far as to say anyone who reacted badly was never really your friend in the first place.

Same as Comfort Eagle. I told my friends who helped with the video stores of course, but not all of them were involved. Still, pretty much everyone found out eventually. No big deal.
I think I'm in the midst of being outed right now as a rigger, if not a tickler. Pretty sure I already told this story out here somewhere.
My wife Laura and I follow a lot of local music, and often hang around certain venues and festivals. We have a friend group around this who are not in the know about any kinks.
Earlier this summer, Laura was talking to a group of ladies at a windy outdoor show while nearby some guys from a band were fumbling around trying to get a banner tied up to a shitty frame. It was going poorly, so I walked over to help. The band just kind of stepped back and let me at it, so I untied and retied everything while they finished setting up. With the right knots and tie-off angles, it went fast and we had a nice, smooth, secure banner in no time.
The ladies with Laura noticed and began asking her whether I was a sailor, or a fisherman, or a scout troop leader, or...? Finally she just said I was a "hobbyist."
They've been teasing her like crazy ever since, and she says they've all but asked her if we're into bondage. We were out again just last night, and when one of my buddy's girlfriends got a little out of hand, another one suggested I tie her up. So it's only a matter of time, if it hasn't happened already.
Who knows, maybe it'll get interesting... 😉

My ex Bf outed me to his MOTHER!! Saying to her that I was obsessed and spending way to much time online. And even tried to have me locked up in a mental hospital with a friend of mine on his side- who refused to even acknowledge my side in all this agreed with HIM.

Interesting stories everyone. I’ve not been outed for being into tickling as far as I’m aware, at least not to the extent where it would have an effect. Like I’ve not lost any jobs because of it, and whilst I’ve had friends be uncomfortable with the tickle stuff it was me who disclosed it willingly.

Not too much of it. A bit of shaming from a friend who was worse off than I was. Couple girls as friends who would post shit on my Facebook wall about tickling.

So my first boyfriend and I dated for many years. Afterwards it was an on again off again situationship I guess so to speak?
Anyhow, we were both very playful people by nature. So he would always tickle me when I would get too sassy with him or steal his hat or maybe throw a stuffed animal at him playfully or something. Never for too long and always a very playful nature to it but it was kind of a staple of our relationship and he would do so whenever he felt the need to do so whether we were in public or around friends or what have you.
So I remember this one time that we went out to a movie together and the boyfriend I had at the time was aware of the relationship I had with this guy being my friend still and he was okay with it because it wasn't sexual anymore. Just friends. My boyfriend was working late that night and there was a movie that I really wanted to see on opening night so he suggested that I go with my friend. So we went, and we had a good time. He was going to stay with me until my boyfriend got home as there had been some break-ins in the area recently and they both wanted me to be safe, again totally cool with it. They had been together in enough situations that they too had become friends. And I remember as we were walking up the path to the door, I had noticed that the water sprinklers were on. So I playfully shoved him into the stream of water, just briefly, but enough for him to get a bit of a shower. And then saw the look on his face that I was too familiar with.
"Oh you are so going to get it," he said. "SO getting it."
I laughed and turned to run to the door. He continued "I'm gonna tickle you SO bad you're gonna wish you didn't do that. I'm going get you SO bad you're gonna wanna go back in time and turn that sprinkler off. I'm gonna tickle you SO much...wait....Candy?" (Obvs he used my real name but I'm not)
I had gone silent. Blushing so brightly I could almost see the glow on my cheeks. And I was fumbling with the keys moreso than would be considered acceptable in trying to find the right key. There were only like 4 of them lol
"Wait...I think maybe...tickling you turns you on, doesn't it?"
I dropped my keys. I closed my eyes tightly and said "you know, I...I...I don't think I know what you mean, I mean, turn on...I wouldn't say, ok maybe I'd say, you know...you know what I don't think I wanna talk about this."

I've never been "outed" in the way it seems to be implied in this thread. No one has ever announced my attraction to tickling to other people in an attempt to expose, embarrass, etc. me. However, I think you could logically say that I gradually get outed to people as I get to know them closely. I'm the type of person that, as I get to know people well and get comfortable with them, I might sneak in a quick tickle or gentle rib poke in response to friendly teasing or playful banter. Likewise, I've tickled every boyfriend I've ever had until he cried, so I guess I was outed to them, too.

It was this whole ordeal that left another TMF member probably feeling threated and outed as well.
AND she felt betrayed by all the TK community people whom she knew by name (some of whom she had talked to on the phone for very vanilla reasons).
She exclaimed, "____________________________ too?" "And ___________ too?"

It was very much "Et tu, Brute?" style. And the nights I woke up to her praying AND CRYING that I would be "saved" from my sinful tickling.... And asking me where this all came from.
Finally my little sister (whom had known about me before I knew about myself! And whom had attended NEST with me) told my mother to stop being so dramatic. I could be into far worse.
It ended up (my part of it) being something that we all laugh about now, but at the time, my mother acted like it was the end of the world.

Yes. It's pretty embarrassing.
In the old VHS days, while I was in college, my parents caught me trying to buy some of the Tied & Tickled videos using their checking or credit card account (I can't recall which.) The yelling wasn't so bad, but them "knowing" (especially since I'm convinced my mom drew this interest out of me when I was a little, little kid!)
I had a friend get nosey and just started playing a tickling VHS tape after he saw that it was loaded into my VCR. He was mostly amused and explained that it was considered foreplay and not actual sexual pornography. Well, I know that!
I'm certain one of my college roommates was looking through my 'stash,' since at one point a regular Dungeons & Dragon game we were playing with a few other guys suddenly, out of nowhere, had this weird turn with a bondage/tickling scene. It was played for laughs & was not one of my roommate's "things," so I'm pretty sure he did some peeking.
At least once, maybe twice, I returned a video to Blockbuster with the wrong tape inside.... I NEVER went back and asked for my tape to be returned. I just went at night after closing & returned the correct tape through the drop-off chute, sans box.
Oh! I have suppressed this! When I just started a new job after a move to a new city, I had some Paradise Vision recordings delivered to my work, under my name.
