Having trouble quoting

I have read the FAQ's and am confused. I highlight the item I wish to quote, click copy in my edit toolbar. The quote is now in my memory, I guess. I then hit quote and up pops a small window where I am supposed to paste the quote. Problem is the window covers my paste command and I can not drag it away. I now have no way of pasting the memorized quote. Am I doing it wrong? Thanks, mystertic.

That is a problem that happens with some systems. Do it this way:

Select the text you want to quote and copy it.

Then hit the quote button.

In the window place a period. Hit Ok

Then you'll get the quote codes surrounding a period in your reply window. highlight the period and paste the quote stored in memory over that. Then you are done.

Or you can just copy the quote into the reply box and add the quote tags manually afterward. they are quote and /quote each in the traditiojnal square brackets.
