I originally saw an article about this in a magazine.
This woman from the UK who goes by Jane Doe found out that her husband was cheating on her with her best friend.
Her revenge: taking all the money from their joint account and buys a billboard to post this message!

Like the saying goes: Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned!

Good Lord, what a silly and petty thing to do. I can only hope this woman has no children.

A woman always has the last word in any argument.
Anything a man says after that will be the start of the next argument! 😛

actually, drew, she does. which is why she is referring to herself as Jane Doe, to protect her kids and herself.
yeah, it was petty thing to do, but i sympathize with her. her husband cheated on her with her best friend! it's no excuse, i know, but she did what most woman dream of doing if they learn their husbands or boyfriends cheated on them.

That's awesome.

If my husband cheated on me and I had the money to do it, hellz yeah I would.

And maybe I'd rent an airplane to fly that message around the town we live in.

A very unique way of getting revenge on the humilation she felt, in my opinion I think the money could of been better spent on herself. Hell may have no fury but it also seems to lack common sense as well... :upsidedow

How much common sense would you use if you found out your wife was cheating on you with your best friend? Personally, they should be lucky this was the revenge and not her killing them both.

Now they're both exposed for the sluts they are......shame on them both and good for her.

Mark could have even had it worse....he could have married someone like Lorena Gallo(Bobbitt); remember her, anyone?

That's totally awesome. True, there are more fun things that the money could've been spent on. But what else would get to a cheating husband or backstabbing friend like this? They could argue the case if she took the money and ran, but a billboard? Oh, that's just deliciously genius. n_n

A stupid man always tells a woman he understands her. A really stupid one tries to prove it.
!

Amen to this statement

"Silly"? "Petty"? Money could have been "better spent"? Maybe. But frankly, I think that kicks ass. Marriage is a bond of trust and a social contract, however the couple chooses to define it. But step out of that agreement, break that contract, and there should be Hell to pay. Good for Jane.

That's just what I was thinking, in many cases the betrayed spouse shoots them both. This was much more civilized.

That sounds remarkably similar to this: http://thatgirlemily.blogspot.com

It was supposedly a blog started by a woman. A few weeks into it she discovered she was being cheated on, and took an elaborate revenge. (Posting billboards, taking all his money, ruining him at work, etc.)

The whole thing turned out to be a BS "guerilla marketing" thing for Court TV. http://www.snopes.com/love/revenge/emily.asp

The reverse happened to my brother when he came home early one day and opened the credit card bill and found that his wife rented a few hotel rooms in Indianapolis with his best friend. To his credit he had a lawyer lined up and the next week, after she left to go "shopping" again, went to the bank and paid off the card then cancelled it. She was served the papers in the hotel lobby just after the card was declined.

You obviously don't know about my marriage; he had the last word even if it meant waking me from a sound sleep at 3am to accuse me of things he was actually doing himself.

So much for stereotypes, huh? :scared:

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

That is, easily, one of the coolest things I have ever seen!!!! :bouncybou

I'm a little taken aback at her restraint, though.

Personally, I would have shot them.

But, to each their own, I guess.

im just saying that she should of spent the money on a new car instead. :cool2: you know, at least get something out of it.

Good for her.

I probably would've gotten a camera crew to bust down the door on them while in the middle of uh...as Archie Bunker called it, a connubibal thing, you know? And put the video on youtube...

Thing is, unless the town population is less than 1,000, no one reading the board is going to know who they are. In big towns, there could be dozens of couples with those names.
And the money could have been better spent on something like a car, as one said. [how much did that billboard cost?]
And killing the couple? Well most people would think of things like that, but there is nothng in the world worth doing time over.

I don't know tho, one of the worst feelings in the world is when a lover that you actually care about, is cheating. All the negative emotions are at their worst.

I suppose Shelley will soon learn. Let us hope she is saving for a billboard 😀

Freakin' AWESOME!

what makes it so much worse even, was the fact it was her best friend..
