I just had the most fantastic ham sandwich. A little mayo, garlic pepper, parmesan, parsley, and oregano... a stack of sliced ham and a bit of cheese... even some fresh cut sweet onion... touch it all off with a sprinkling of shredded cheddar and put it all between wheat bread. Bake that in foil in an oven set to 400 for 10 minuets and you've got one helluva ham sandwich. I love getting creative when staring down the barrel of another boring dinner.

now you've flung a craving on me...

Sounds like something you'd pay $17.00 for in a good restaurant!

Speaking of thrown together dinners. Take a 4-6 oz salmon filet, a red pepper, and a can of corn. Dice the pepper and toss it into a skillet with 2-3 tbsp of melted butter, when the peppers get soft add the corn. Turn the heat down and simmer that for 5ish minutes so it's nice and warm, then toss in lemon juice (fresh or bottled), add in however much you like (myself-2 tbsp...I love lemon juice with fish) and some dill (once again go with what you like...mine was about a tsp).

Now melt another 2-3 tbsp of butter and melt it up (heat back up to high btw). Once it's melted toss the salmon in for two minutes on each side then reduce heat to med-low and do each side again for two minutes.

Toss the impromptu salsa on top and eat, it's delicious.

Sry to hijack thread some...gonna have to make that up sometime when I have some ham around...

Ohhhh dude. That sounds fucking delish!

Get a nice-sized carp. Rinse it off. Go out to the garage and find an old board, just big enough to lay the fish on. Get a hammer and one nail. Just drive the nail down through the center of the fish and put it in the oven near the broiler for about 20 minutes set at 400˚. After 20 minutes, rotate it around 180˚ and let it broil another 15 minutes.

Take the carp out of the oven and remove the nail, careful... it's hot. Throw the nail and the carp in the garbage can and eat the board.
