Help With Archie Comics!

Thanks so much friend. I thought that I would never see those again. Yours was a site that I ran across early in my collecting years and I have since lost much of the things I had found back then. It's nice to preserve the works of the artists of the community. Many have not had the opportunity to see much of the content of the past.

Thanks for the offer but I'll pass. I'm not a great fan of Groups - to much work to put things into and get them out of. As a distribution medium they leave much to be desired.

You have some really great material in your group but did you notice that Yahoo is editing the images on download? Take the 4-24 update album - first image April-Cover. The file size is listed as 322Kb yet if you download it it comes out at 85K. What's happened to the rest of the image?

It isn't my group, but you're right about Yahoo screwing with the images in the photo-section.
Thankfully, they haven't touched the files-section (yet).

It might be just me but if I create an image I want to be the one setting the format. Which brings things back to creating animated gifs - to make an animation work the frames need to be reduced in size. That defeats the purpose of making them that size initially.

Right I was guessing. I've seen some groups where they allow you to get a full size picture from the screen version but perhaps Yahoo have dropped that now to save bandwidth.

I tried the files section but could see nothing there to download. A pity as I don't think I have some of those pics yet.
