Is it just me, or is it extremely ironic that there are 5,895 views of this thread (so far) but so few comments or others sharing pics? :: pokes:: Nobody wants to admit they're interested or that they've got some pics to share. *chuckles*

Obviously I'm biased, as I'm one of the few others who've been sharing. But it seems unlikely that everyone's so uncomfortable. Thousands of people are comfortable enough to scroll through over a dozen pages of this stuff. Either we've got a whole bunch of masochists on our hands, or people find it enjoyable.

Of course, I'd assume you're an exception to that rule. How'd you manage to dig down to message #150 of the thread?

I look at hentai pics *despite* the fact they are anime...
They are often tasteless, they are sometimes utterly amateurish, but western artists are nowhere as open with fetish-themed pics, as hentai-drawers are.

Maybe theme and style have become one, and fewer people care to draw fetish-themed classic-western pics.

Of course, hentai is part and parcel of manga art and anime culture.
I take a fond pleasure when western kids embrace manga, only to be put off by the implications.

When will you guys realise japanese artists think, feel and draw different? 😉

Well, hentai pics are mainly based from Japan n' such. I try to get the stuff that actually looks half decent. *shrugs* Have I been sucessful, would you say? ô.o As for how they think? I couldn't even begin to guess.

I was speaking of the hentai pics I've seen online so far.
Hentai sometimes seems continguous to regular fan-anime - and quality varies wildly.

From what I've read, they aren't much different from us: they distrust strangers, they uphold tradition, and they mercilessly milk customers.
Not quite different, you might argue...

What they differ in, they seem more chauvinistic than what I'd call average.
They don't care much for western culture: they seem both mesmerised and disgusted by it.
Reportedly, English is a novelty they try to pick up, for the thrill value, but they usually fail to understand the nuances, and as Val went to show on the Funny Pics thread, they mistranslate and hack it as it suits their needs.

One could hold a lecture on flunked English names in Anime and Japanese games: Quattro Vagina, from Gundam Z, being the most remarkable bloop [or most cruel joke...].
