hey what music are you listening to?

Here lately, I've been loving a collection of ditties called "Wheezy Anna"(Louisiana?) from a popular British songster of the 30's named Leslie Sarony. Great great stuff. At least, if you're alittle bit "off" like me. :blush

I love Metal, but lately Ive been listening to jazz on piano and country....not shit country like the present, but hank j.r nitty gritty dirt band...stuff like that. Uhhhm for instance on the jazz piano thing. Look up Jim Carrey playing piano in the move " The Majestic" I realize its not him. It is a cool riff though

Shippin' Up To Boston - The Dropkick Murphys...

Sox just beat Philly in the 13th. And we just swept the Yanks (again).

Kickin Ass!!

normally the hollywood brother is listening to long haired heavy metal rock anthems but lately the hollywood brother is hooked on katy perry song "WAKING UP IN VEGAS". it is a good beat and she is a great and hopefully ticklish singer. the video is very funny and the song even features the sound of slot machines paying out which is a sound thatthe last time the hollywood brother was in vegas the hollywood brother missed hearing the sound. anyway this katy perry is a srtist o nthe rise that seems to have a potential good lifetime of hits ahead of her and the hollywood brother would encourage all to check her out

Thanks for the tip, BRO! I'll keep an ear out for her stuff. :note:

I'm currently listening to track #9 ("Way of the Intercepting Fist") from the album Revenge is Easy by Puny Human.

Of late, I've been on a real old-school prog-rock kick. Genesis' The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, ELP's Tarkus and Brain Salad Surgery, Yes' Fragile, Marillion's Script for a Jester's Tear, Rush's A Farewell to Kings and Hemispheres....they've all been on a constant rotation recently.

Still listening to Avenged, huh? You do have a rather ecclectic variety of tastes, sweetie. 🙂

Past couple days, I've been on an odd kick. A friend at work mentioned REO Speedwagon, and I got hooked on revisiting the old stuff. Not the 80's REO from Hi Infidelity on out...but the 70's stuff before they really hit the radio full force. I wound up putting all the albums from R.E.O. T.W.O. through Nine Lives on a playlist and just letting the rock roll on....

I'm not listening to any music at the moment, although I do have a song stuck in my head. I'm almost to embarrassed to admit it, but it's the theme for The Addams Family TV show.

I get that now and then. Sometimes at work. Probably some customer setting it off or something: "Hey! That guy looks like Lurch!".

Just now, though, I tried listening to a couple of tracks from what's described as a "goth rock" band named Cemetery of Scream. The name alone should have set off warning bells. Their album is titled Frozen Images. I don't have any cover art. Frankly, I take this as a good thing.

I listened to two tracks totally at random: Golden Lullaby and Ritual Fire Dance. I don't know what the band itself considers it's music, but it's neither goth nor rock, that's for sure.

But even if it turned out that they were actually Christian Emo, or Flaming Pagans, or Ambient Street Musicians, that's some seriously weak shit right there.

Recommendation? Avoid even for free.

In my car today I listened to Fear Factory - Archetype and Nirvana - Greatest Hits Album (didn't finish it before I got home).

I'm listening to this.

Were you aware that the song is based on an actual criminal? And that the great Jamie Gillis starred in a pron film in the late 70's loosely based on the story?

Anyway, in between sneezing fits, I'm trying to listen to The Milwaukee Wildmen's album "Psychosomatic". Good(ka-choo!) stuff!

i just posted about it on my blog, but Dewey Decibel is a wonderful group...they just came out with their first album, The Dusting. i recommend it!

When I'm working I usually have the radio on, which plays most of the latest songs.

When at home or out and about, I listen to Linkin Park, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Blink 182 on my iPhone.

The way I see it is that if I like the sound of it, I will listen to more, whatever type of music it is.
