how Did you find the TMF?

How did everybody first hear about the TMF hear? through a good friend? a co-worker? search gengine? other...


I found it through Google's search gengine(Awwww behold the POWER of Google) I simply just typed in tickling and the first results were this website and well here i am Today and the rest is history🙂

I found it when I was 16. Didn't join, but went looking at different sites and forgot about it. Then I met ticklishsurfer on AIM and he referred me here. I joined 2 months shy of my 19th b-day and lurked for 4 months while registered. If you count unregistered time, it was 7 months.

I found the actual tickling community in the summer of 2000, but I found the original TMF (ran by Psycho4048 in EZBoards) near Christmas 2000. Therefore, I've been here well over 2 years.

First the tickling chat room on AOL,( back when AOL was pay by the minute) then the newsgroup alt. tickling, then the newsgroup alt. multimedia.tickling, then here.
Actually, those all overlapped a bit. I still visit AMT once in a while. I even open the tickling chat room on AOL once in a while, eventhough AOL usually has it blocked as a public room, it still can be made once in a great while.

One day this nice fellow named Psycho4048 (who had created a couple of other pretty cool pages in the past- anyone remember the Tickling Universe?) posted in AMT, and announced that he was creating a new site called the TMF as a flame-free alternative to our beloved newsgroup. I was lurking about on the EZ Boards version of the TMF since almost day 1. 🙂

It's just amazing to see how much this place has grown since the old days. A hearty hats off to all involved. 😀

I discovered The TMF about 2 years ago I think and then lurked for a good year or so before joining. Can't even remember how I found it whether it was through a search engine or just a link from another TKL site.

Yahoo Search found me a strange interview of who i now know to be jeff. The interview linked to MTP, there was a banner there for the TMF, which i eventually got around to clicking on.
