how Did you find the TMF?

One day this nice fellow named Psycho4048 (who had created a couple of other pretty cool pages in the past- anyone remember the Tickling Universe?) posted in AMT, and announced that he was creating a new site called the TMF as a flame-free alternative to our beloved newsgroup. I was lurking about on the EZ Boards version of the TMF since almost day 1. 🙂

What HE said up there.....THEN....

That guy ((pointing at DVNC)) finally convinced me to register and stick around. Adoring the goofball the way I do, I decided to buy a lot, and build my little TMF hut. Nice neighbors, a bit of noise now and then, but all in a all, a good move.

I found the old site run by Psycho4048 via a Yahoo search and got linked to this site when the old one got demolished.

I found the actual tickling community in the summer of 2000, but I found the original TMF (ran by Psycho4048 in EZBoards) near Christmas 2000. Therefore, I've been here well over 2 years.

Jeez, is that 2 years ago now? I was on there too sometimes, but then my computer couldn't do the save-as shit with the img.honesty.com file stuff so I wasn't able to download alot

I went from AMT to all of Psycho's various web sites to the original TMF to here...lol!

I even remember a secret chat with Scott, Jeff, Scooby and a bunch of other well-knowns(!) to decide on moderators and layouts and the future of the site...that was when the mighty and powerful Jeff began hosting the new site.

Those were good times...these times are even better!

Good question!

I learned about the TMF from an ex-boyfriend. I joined in 2001, lurked for about 6 months, then started going into the chatroom (which I haven't had much time to play in lately, but I'll be back soon! Be afraid! (lol@me)).

I attended the first SBG gathering last year (that was also my first gathering ever), then I met my beloved kwildoctr in person last February (after countless online and phone chats), and now I am the well-adjusted, innocent person you all know today! 😀

I've met wonderful people through the TMF...some of them even call me friend!...and I think Myriads and Jeff and the moderators do a great job making this place FUN!

Now, if only I could get past being irregular! 😉

I was always searching for anime tickling in the public library. I got linked here by Google, stared around confused, then left. About seven months later, last December, I got the internet on my home computer. I was messing around, and got really really bored. I decided to give the TMF another shot.

I lurked around for about a month. I really didn't have a choice. For some reason my computer wouldn't post on the TMF. Luckily the godly monderators cleared it all up.

And the rest, as they say, is history.

AMT stands I think, for *blank-media-tickling*. (I dunno what the A stands for.) It's an internet news group that is totally unmoderated and is therefore more full of flames than Areenactor and Neutron at a Democrat convention.

Because it isn't governed or anything, it's also like tickling fly-paper for the biggest dickheads in the community. A lot of people defect here from there, because they've given up on the childishness there.
As this place has over 8,000 registered members I don't think AMT has much to play with.

It is the usenet newsgroup alt.multimedia.tk

When all newsgroups that contained the word "sex" became 99% spam, such as alt.sex.tickling, people fled to groups such as AMT that did not attract spammers. But they are, as Big Jim noted, unmoderated. So they became 99% flame wars.

Found it while doing research on the medical benefits of tickling. After searching for medical articles on tickling for awhile, my mouse began to click on just about anything tickling related. First, it was a website called Tom's Tickling Fetish page or something like that. As I read it, I realized that I had a tickling fetish. That was early April 2001. Next, I found this site and I've been a member ever since. Special thanks to Myriads, cosmo_ac and fttickler for making my stay a welcome and warm one.

hmmmm............... that means this month marks my two year anniversary as a forum member. Perhaps I should throw a party in the chatroom to celebrate?!😀

Actually, I found the TMF through Yenny. When I first got my computer and connected to the world, I was basically following link-trains around the Web, discovering all the stuff that was really out there involving tickling. I just bumped into the old Psycho-run TMF during it's first month or two, and noticed a Yenny drawing somewhere in there, and it caught my attention. Being 4 in the morning and all, plus having a decent amount of Southern Comfort in me, I forgot about it for a month or so. During another random search, I remembered the site, but not the name or anything, so I did a search on "Yenny" which brought me back to the TMF in a roundabout way.

I lurked for a long time as I started getting more proficient with my computer. I actually registered when the new TMF opened, and a few months after that, I decided I'd try my hand at writing something.

Next thing you know, I use the Jedi Mind Trick on all of them and they put me in charge of shit! Fooled every last one of 'em, too! That I'm a "nice guy" and everything...HAHAHAHAAAA...what a bunch of...

...ahem. I really need to sleep more.

Was going through Google one fine day...put 'tickling' in the box, and came up with all kinds of things. I had been wanting to see what popped up with a 'tickling' search for quite some time, anyway! Found the TMF, and I've been here ever since. I do not lurk...in fact, I figured that if I was going to be here, I might as well jump in the pool right away. One hundred plus posts later, here we are! No regrets either. I've only heard of AMT, never have gone there. I have no time for idiots.

I remember remarking in my first post to the old forum how happy I was to have 1200 stories to go through... look at us now! 🙂

AMT trivia. Bob Hare, [email protected], started it, back when he posted as [email protected]. He started a yahoo group, later (Tickling Personals). Helluva nice guy, too.

AMT is still the great alternative to all who don't want to be moderated. There always was a place to be for them folks. Still is.

My discovery of this wonderful place mirrored yours exeactly, j-e-l-l-o. I'd been doing searches for tickling, tickle, tickled, etc. for ast least a year and one day I struck gold!!! 🙂
