How did you find TMF???(Newer Members)

This question is more for the newer members of our dear forum but...

How did you come upon TMF and...What took you so long?
Did you just all turn 18? Did you all suddenly buy computers? Did you suddenly "Discover" tickling?😀

Just wondering, because almost every time I come back to the main topics page of TMF, under newest member there is ALWAYS a different name.

Of course this question requires that the newer folks de-lurk but...

I found the TMF a while ago through a link somewhere. I've been spectating for several months, but have only recently summoned the courage to begin the "coming out" process...hence, "ontheverge."

Besides that, they promised a fabulous set of coffee mugs to every new member! What? You didn't get the email? Hm.

I'm not exactly a new member...well, depends on your definition of "new". Actually, I found Magic Touch's website before they had the forum. One time, I went to the site, and the forum had been added. I was quite excited. I visited pretty often, then, if I remember correctly, the forum has some kind of problem(s). It went down for awhile. (somebody tell me I'm not insane. My recollection is rather vague.) I forget what prompted me to do so, but I checked back, and there it was. Eventually, I registered.

Really, though, when you consider the number of people who potentially have access to the site, it can be expected that the times they discover it would be spread out, and even after finding the site, registering is another topic. Some people may not decide to register for quite some time.

I'm not new either 🙂 But I'll tell you anyway. I found the TMF a few days after it first opened due to an AMT post made by Scott.

And yes mav, you are not crazy, the forum was down last summer for about 2 weeks due to server problems.

Myriads, I am the same way, I remember reading Psycho's site proclaiming some new message board and a few weeks later TMF appeared....and then like maverick83 found out Psycho, well, went Psycho, while Myriads and company picked up the pieces and oh what nice pieces they are today....(where's the 3 cheers smiley)

Someone on the NTCweb sent me the address for this site...I've been looking at different tickling pages for a long time now, but for some reason I'd never seen this one. Which is strange, because I LOVE discussion boards...I post regularly at two others; I'm even a moderator of the philosophy board at blamonet.com/vb (the smashing pumpkins web site) 😀
So I registered really soon after finding this site... don't know why I didn't see it sooner than this, but hey, I'm here now...ha

I actually stumbled upon the old TMF (Scott's board) by accident before I had my own computer. I used to go over to my cousin's house and use his, and while I was doing legit musical work, I'd surf and found the TMF. Being a computer novice back then, I knew nothing about hotlinking, saving favorites or anything like that at all. So when I got my own computer, I remembered that there was this really cool place around, but couldn't remember the name.

One day, I decided to play a two-hour session of "follow the links" ( I think I started at Tom's wonderful old site ) and wound up here.

Several months later, I have my own parking space.

Only in America.😎

i saw all the hubub on the amt news group.
i watched for a long time, and finally decided to become a member, and join in.
overtheverge, i'll help coach the softball team! i have a lot of experience coaching girls softball, and playing it too!

How did I find TMF? When I first got my own PC I was living in PA and seriously looking for ticklers. I had not met Pete yet and was communicating with loads of male lers. One of them pointed me here.
