how do you role play through chat rooms?

ok this is prabobly a very bizzare story. I was on another tickling fetish website (sorry TMF for cheating on you) when I got into a chat room there were some people there talking and what not and I joined in the convo and they wanted to know if I would RP in a private chat room. Well here's the dumb question how do you rp through a chat room?

it can be very easy for some people, and very hard for others. For some, it can be as simple as cybering. For others, they tend to be more complex and detailed, like a story.

I act as the story teller. It's kinda like a movie or a book. The stories and details of what happens, is being told by the story teller. In between there would be some lines. An example:

Deep in the forrest lays a girl tied to a tree. The victim starts to panic. "Who are you? What do you want from me?".

That depends on how much the other person is up for it. Let them reply in a way like in the example.
