Never a dull moment!
I do so enjoy these intellectual discussions on tickling. A far cry from the average "so, do you get hard tickling a kid?" variety I get when trying to explain to "other" folks! Which not coincidentally is why I tend not to disclose this interest if it doesn't come up.
Anyway, on to my reply. I'm 29, but I'll weigh in on both parts of the question if I may. I can definitely relate to the diminished excitement over pics, stories, videos, etc, especially from say 10years ago. Although my interest and desire is as strong as it was then. I can't ever imagine a time when hearing or reading the word "tickle" won't make me take note more than say... the word "potato"! LOL (ditto for seeing someone tickled) I don't forsee a "fading" as it were, but more of a change. Sorta like my friend whom I adore, yet don't feel the need to speak to on the phone every day like we did in highschool. Still the friendship is there, and still just as strong in fact. In the same way, my relations with tickling will be different 20yrs from now, much as they were different 20yrs ago. I'm in agreement with DVNC here about it being more a matter of how you relate to it, although I do think it's a stereotype... at least the DEGREE to which a healthy sex drive obscures a young man's "clarity" anymore than a young woman's. ;- )
As for what I'd like to see 20yrs from now.... I'd love to see tickling more mainstream. More out in the open and recognized as what it is: perfectly normal and acceptable. I do believe that what would make me happiest, is if 2 decades from now, a whole generation of 20yr old ticklephiles will have grown up without feelings of alienation.
