How much do you disclose?

Recently we've seen a fair few "coming out" posts where folks disclose their interests in tickling to their loved ones, friends etc. Congratulations to them and all the best.

Now, a slightly different question: how MUCH do you disclose about your tickling interests? Do you say:

1. "I like tickling"
2. "I like tickling, I love watching tickle videos and visiting tickling websites"
3. "I like tickling, I love watching tickle videos and visiting tickling websites, and I find it arousing."
4. "I like tickling, I love watching tickle videos and visiting tickling websites, I find it arousing, and I find tickling more (just) as enjoyable than (as) any other forms of intimacy."

Personally I'm at 3 with my partner, 1 with a few friends. Whilst I do not intend to share any of my private life with any friends, I sometimes wonder whether my partner has the right to see me at 4.

Personally, I think #2 and #3 are sort of backwards in your poll. At least in my experience, it would be:

I'd never go further than 1 with any friends. Granted, I wouldn't come out and say it in the first place but that's as much as I'd let them figure out on their own. Partners? I don't know, really... but yeah as the person above me said I think you've got 2 and 3 backwards. I'd rather admit I found it arousing than that I went on websites and the like... because the latter suggests the first anyway. 🙂

I've gotten to number 2 on that list with my two best friends. I know them both for many years. They know I like tickling, and that I belong to the TMF. They are both very understanding, as they have fetishes too. One friend has a women's rear end fetish, while the other enjoys seeing adult girls dressed in school girl uniforms. They accept my fetish, and I accept their fetishes.

I love this question. Yet another good thread. Well dispite whether Im going by the original numbering or the one mentioned by T.K. I would say Ive gone from 1-3 with the ppl Ive told. Due to the fact that the only ppl I care to know about me fetish are female because they are the ones Id like to be comfortable with the idea of me tickling them. Ive told them about the this website and the lighter and heavier parts of the fetish(including my liking to it). Im the type of person who likes to be well informed about what Im signing on for so I make sure that I do the same for the girls I tell about my fetish...I mean why not? you got far enough to that big step of telling them.

Plus with them being able to look for themselves on the forum they can find out about what drives us to be the way we are and even see our silly and normal sides sides because we arent defined by our fetish but by our person. Hell I even have this friend I went to college with(who is actually comming down to FL for the summer and has agreed to let me tickle her)who has even sat there and watched a few clips from the forum while talking to me on the fone, and shes only know of a tickling fetish for maybe 2 weeks now.

at 1st it was just "i like tickling" then someone got freaked out as he got tickled alot and though it was to do with him. so then it was "i like to be tickled".

i am happy to answer any question they might have, but in reason...

The designation of numbers aren't necessarily progressions from one stage to another, although I can see how that can be confused. I do agree with folks who think that 2 and 3 can be interchanged, it makes sense.

I think that's a good point. People are often not motivated to find out information about unfamiliar things, especially things they may feel threatened by. (This inertia against information seeking, IMO, contributes greatly to prejudice, but that's for anotehr thread.) I totally uderstand where you are comming from. The reason I am as open as I am about it is cause I went to NEST for the first time and not one person from my normal life new about it.......it was fucking killing me to think if somthing happen to me up in PA noone would have known where I was or anything(plus I hate not putting atleast one person in the loop of my secrets), so I texted the girl I was socially seein at the time and told her. Expecting withdraw or no answer I was acyually shocked with e reply of nothing but positivity and a assurance that what im into is not bad at all. Evere sense then those who i have told have actually expressed want to go to gatherings aswell as brief sessions follow being informed. Hey honesty works at times. I think everyone should atleast try it with somone their close to and see where it goes might turn out they like it too.

That's not a bad idea actually - let them figure out for themselves.

But what do you mean by "anti climax"? That people you told tend to be not accepting? That's not good; but at least that's a good filtering process to ensure that only folks who accept your fetish will remain in your close circle of relationship.

I usually would only start with 1 and work my way up that list. That process used to take a year or so but its much faster now if I really feel close to the woman.
