hmm. so are there any prizes for winning?? or just bragging rights? lol
My own thoughts:
I'd also like to see a rule change to explicitly allow an author to enter one of his stories posted since the last contest, rather than requiring authors to write new stories for the contest.
I think that holding the contest semi-annually is fair to all those involved. Once in the spring and once in the fall is not too much. Authors who may wish to skip one to pursue other projects won't have to wait a full year for the next contest. Writing a story for the contest isn't an obligation, but a choice.
Second contest?
This time, I'll be competing. *eyes flare with excitement*
So, please, as many people, do join. Let's make great stories! Let's light up the fires of storytelling all over TT! Let's make such unforgettable stories that will rewrite the history of tickling! Let us all join into a grand competition that will shake the foundations of Tickle Theater itself!
-packing his writing machine and going away for vacation- Already doomed 😛
Too hard competition :'(
We won't know that until we try. That's why the games are played.

Meh I already lost in popularity and writing department... only thing left is looking good, but knowing me it would be better to put a skeleton than my picture 🙂
Bah! No excuse. You can do anything you set your mind to do. Popularity is fickle and what makes good reading is relative to the reader. Everybody loves the underdog you can play that angle.
So when is the contest anyways? I want to know how much i have to prepare 🙂
Rumor is it's gonna be sometime in November. So, about three months...
Lots of time for you to sweat. 😉
Now this is one thing I'm still not quite grasping here. Are stories to be submitted specifically for the contest. I am near completion of a story that I really like. It's going to kill me to sit on this thing until November. True, it will give me months to pimp it up, but still. I was planning on wrapping it up tonight and doing some minor editing over the weekend. Well I suppose I could and just work on another idea to submit to the forum. 😕

We will allow stories from any date after the closing of the previous contest until the closing of the next contest. As Bashiku says, just put something in the title like "November 2008 Contest Entry" and it will count 🙂
I think that maybe we should have two contests happening at the same time. One for tickling and one for non-tickling. The criteria one will judge a tickling story on is somewhat different than a non-tickling story.
Wait... does that mean we can write true stuff... I have few true stories in my youth that I am craving to write down.... it would contain some minor/ adult, but are mostly minor/minor...
I agree with this. If people are wanting to submit non-tickling stories, they may be really good, but considering that this is a tickling-emphasized message board, there is bound to be a lot of bias toward the stories with tickling in it. Separation seems like a good idea...to be fair to those who want to submit non-tickling stories, anyway.
