How the hell do I get rid of Internet Explorer?

very true...and Windows Media player is lost as well...
 
Even though many people don't like it, I have always found Windows Media Player to have better playback quality and higher reliability than Real or Quick Time, at least on my machine.
 
I used to use Winamp, but kept having to d/l everything first like with WMP, so what's the diff?
