How to Explain....

For those of you who saw my earlier thread before it was swamped with old dredged up threads and items of a less pressing matter -.-; My mother recently approached me about fetishism.. basically, hence, the cat is out of the bag. I've sought the advice of some other members close to me, but they don't have any ideas either at this point. So, to be blunt for those of you who don't like to read long, explanatory posts..

How do I explain this 'interest' to my mother without her thinking I'm going to run off and have weird bondage sex with just anyone... -.-;

Well since she was the one to bring up the subject of fetishism....you can explain to her exacty what your fetish is. Simply that you love to be tickled and or TO tickle and that extreme level of love and passion is considered to be a "fetish". Add that you do this with friends of yours who share this passionate interest as well as adding whatever other passions you have etc. .

I can't really answer that, acorna. Like I've said, I was pretty different at your age then you are and the best I can do is tell you what would have worked for me. If I had been confronted with that situation at 18 (I moved out at 18) I probably would have said something like "It's personal and not something I want to talk about." and would have ignored any further attempts at aproaching the subject.
Even when you live with someone there have to be boiundries and privacy for those who do not choose so be so open.
As terrible as it is for her to make you so uncomfortable I honestly don't think she means any harm. I think she thinks it's "cute" and a sign that her little girl is growing up. Maybe she expects this to be some sort of bonding moment since I dont get the impression that you're terribly close.
If "Drop it and leave it alone" doesn't work then perhaps it's time to apartment hunt? 😛
