I am not encouraging this behavior but has anyone tickled someone they didn’t know with a positive outcome?

Can you guys elaborate?
I read it as we didn't want any inappropriate touching (tickling) in the workplace and then being reported to Human Resources for the behaviour. And with me being a ticklee I would quite happily have them reported to HR so that I knew who they were and they could tickle me🤣🤣

But if you're talking the actual scenarios in which the tickling took place in the workplace.....

For me i was working with a colleague and she was describing a tattoo either her or her daughter was getting down her back. As she was describing the pattern she was having she traced a single nail down my spine ever so lightly. I squirmed and giggled as it sent a shiver down my spine. She laughed and teased about how ticklish I was. I was so embarrassed but I loved that she found my weakness. Even though that was probably not quite an intentional tickle, over the course of that day she then deliberately tickled my sides. She even teased me further by telling and showing another colleague how ticklish I was by poking my side.

Another colleague i think unintentionally tickled me. Now he was more of an acquaintance than the others mentioned above and below. I was on my placement year at uni and was working for the same organisation as mentioned above. I had to have my uni tutor visit during the placement. I was getting really nervous and anxious about this visit as the tutor used to scare me. My colleague then came over and he decided to give me a neck/shoulder massage to help calm me down. Well i just ended up in a fit of giggles, leaning forward as he continued to "massage" my neck and shoulders. Even though it wasn't intended I'm just too sensitive there it just feels like tickling. He did find it amusing and did remind me he was only trying to relax me.

Another occasion, but this was after I'd been there a while, I had 2 different colleagues (one was my line manager and the other was my manager's manager) ask me the rhetorical question are you ticklish? But sadly with no action.
Once was when I was holding a cup of tea in each hand and was walking towards her about to hand her one of them. I just grinned and giggled. The second as when I was drawing on a white board- had to draw out a timetable for the senior members of the team. Was using a ruler and concentrating when one stood beside me and asked if I was ticklish. She took no action but I pulled a shocked face and laughed as i quickly moved my arms down by my sides as I stood to one side so she could pass me.
So although the latter two colleagues didn't actually tickle me the threat/ tease/opportunity was there.

Great stories 👏

As a Lee who works in HR I would quite happily have Lers reported to HR 🤣

I've also been on the receiving end of a quick tickle from a coworker. They've then usually used it against me further down the line in response to my sarcasm and banter. Which of course only encouraged me more. 😁
I must say, as a bartender Ler, the thought of an HR manager that's an undercover Lee is extremely hot, lol.

Can you guys elaborate?
As for elaboration. I tickle coworkers, but usually after some report is established. I'm a pretty tall guy, so I can give a hug and completely engulf someone. Having my fingers right at sensitive ribs is an invitation I rarely decline. I keep it quick just so they know I'm being playful, and also gauges they're reactions. I won't do it again if I feel like they actually hate it. But if it's playful, and there's a chance they're into it, then it's game on. 😉
Also at parties out here in California where slides and flip flops are worn nearly year round. If a friend leaves their feet dangling off of a chair or couch and I can do it quickly and nonchalantly, I'm gonna briefly tickle that sole and see if it's playful or tolerable. Some people HATE being tickled. Either the sensation just isn't their jam, or there's some very sick and unfortunate childhood trauma attached to it. I don't fight that.
If the response is negative I make sure they know I was just being silly and promise to never do it again.
But when it's cool.... friend, I have had full on tickle relationships with "work Lees." Just by being nice, funny, and having conversations that extend beyond tickling.
Really cool women I've worked with that didn't even realize how much they could enjoy it until I was doing it to them from time to time at work or way back when I was in college.
Just gotta pick your spots, be patient, don't be overzealous, and as much as we're talking about a format that can be creepy, don't be a creep.
People can see that you'll tickle them, but no one should be able to decipher that you have a full on fetish unless you tell them.

Yup...I want a job in your office, lol

It sounds like you have a few true stories to share?

Ha ha I bet! Dream workplace scenario.

Sadly I'm not that important 😂 but it would still mean I could access information without blowing my cover🤣

In jiu-jitsu once, the instructor, a total Mr. Miyagi, adorable, little old guy, demonstrated an arm lock on one of the students (we're all adults) and he said "now you have control. you can roll him, you can tickle him!" And he tickles the guy's armpit. He laughs, the whole class laughs.

He then proceeded to demo many other types of locks. He showed us an arm lock that included the neck and when you rolled your weight, you could potentially break their neck. That was the one he had us try, for some reason.

I was partnered with another girl and I whispered to her, "can't we go back to the tickling one? This one's kinda scary" she said, laughing, "yeah, that one was cuter." So, as 2 strangers/acquaintances, we would've been down to tickle each other over potentially accidentally hurting each other. lol

Great incident! :tickle: Thanks for sharing your experience here. 😀

What about if they're in a crop top do you tickle their bellies?

I was in Walmart one time, walking through the toiletries aisles and came across a female employee stocking something on a shelf that was well above her head, I just couldn't help myself and as I walked by I reached out and tickled her armpit. She made a very breathy laugh and slowly brought her arm down, so as not to knock over any of the things she worked hard to place on the shelf. She then looked at me and went "what the fuck..." with a huge smile on her face.
Oh how I wish I had talked to her but I chickened out and said "sorry, I couldn't resist" and walked out of the store.

I'm happy she wasn't angry because that could have went very different. I'm very lucky and I've learned never to do it again (I was 20 at the time) I've grown a lot since then and now realize that is never okay

What was she wearing? What did she look like and was she cute?

I had a similar experience too but in an optical shop. This lady in her early 30s was helping me trying on glasses. When she reached up to put the glasses back, I reached out to tickle her armpit lol. She was wearing long sleeves but I could feel the warmth of her armpit. She looked back at me half-smiling but I just sheepishly said "I'm sorry" with a little smile lol. We had a nice chat afterwards about different brands and then i walked out.

She was incredibly cute, about my same age at the time, (19-20). She had a white tshirt on with a blue walmart sleeveless vest. If I had to compare her vibe to a celebrity I'd say her energy seemed similar to elizabeth banks? Just a cool girl who wasn't too upset with someone tickling her

Did you end up tickling her lol?
No.. by that point we had forgotten how to do the other lock with the tickle, but either way he was going around correcting the one we were learning. I did repeat it to another girl later and she said "omg yeah! that was so funny." I personally took note of some take downs prior that could be used to tickle someone, though. Lol
