Dude - when people wander into a thread, they tend to respond in the same tone in which the thread was launched. You provided very little in the way of content as a starting point - Primetime was very generous in doing so much of that work for you. If you want a serious discussion, it helps to provide some serious food for thought. If all you've offered is a couple of sentences and a link, people will tend to fall back on prior posting history... which in your case, isn't doing you any favors. 😉

FYI, "young" isn't an insult in and of itself. It's code for "immature." Chronologically youthful people on the TMF who conduct themselves in a civil and mature fashion don't get slammed for being "young."

First of all, based on previous posts, we agree EXACTLY on the corporal punishment thing. Sometimes one might have to apply the board of education to the seat of knowledge. That doesn't mean I approve of abuse or basically beating the crap out of your kid; I didn't do it to mine and would turn in those I knew did it to theirs.

However, in this case, he should be glad he wasn't born in other parts of the world where some mothers throw their kids off the cliff shortly after birth. Then again.............
