There's been a lot of declarative statements made in this thread that have been made from completely subjective viewpoints, so just so it gets said out loud: There is nothing inherently "putrid" or "disgusting" about */m. Sure, there are some people who don't want to see it, participate in it and who are repulsed by it, and fine, no one's forcing you to. But there's naught wrong with it.
