Laura hon..i so admire you for this step..it will take will power and strength..but i know you can do it...pm me anytime...i'll try to help you all i can..i know all about addictions...first with mom, then myself with cigs...remember this...the craving will be hard to fight, but you can do it..i still fight the cig craving every day...

I haven;t had anything alcoholic for a whole week 
and the hardest times for me to fight the craving for a drink is when I get home in the evenings and especially after a hectic stresssful night at work sometimes makes a drink appealing but I am being strong and drinking a flavored water and Now slowly but surely I am learning that I Don;t *need* alcohol, and I am feeling alot better every day 😀Luv2Tickle69

Good deal Laurie.....all the best to you in your endeavor to give up the 'spirits' to better bolster your spirit....I myself am making a concerted effort to give up smoking, and so far...(and with the help of MANY...MANY atomic fireball candies) I've been 3 weeks along, and so far...so good.
....in case it helps....should you ...'slip and fall...' don't wrack your brains about it....you have support and friends here....plus, there's always the ability to pick yourself up and dust yerself off and get back in the game....I know I don't want to 're-awaken the tiger' for where my habit was concerned...but if I do..I'm not going to punish myself about it....just gotta re-focus...buy more atomic fireball red-hots, and hone in again.
....all the best.....determination has a big play when it comes to resolves such as yours....and you sound VERY determined.
