LOL. Hey, don't take this the wrong way Redmage, but I think we both know that the weather in California has little to do with your difficulties in this area. Today it's sixty degrees in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, which oddly enough hasn't affected my humility in the slightest. Go figure.

I believe that the point of this thread was to sympathize with FlockOfSeagulls about his 101 degree weather. So all you people in frozen climes: get on that, will ya? 😀

Flocker: I've been to Dallas a few times. It's hotter than Virgina alright, but it isn't nearly as humid. We ate at a barbeque place called Bonedaddy's. Lot of good scenery there. wink wink. Do you guys get those sudden intense rain storms we get here in the summer? Sometimes when the rain pounds the street, it sounds like a double-cunted cow pissing on a flat rock.

not sure I would put it that way, but yes we get spring and summer thunderstorms that pop up out of nowhere and are really violent.These often have large hail and lots of tornado warnings.


As for Lindy , it would be nice if you were a little more civil toward her.

As far as hail , we get mostly nickel sized;but golfball sized are not uncommon.In extreme cases we had hail the size of softballs.

Hey, now, gloating about the weather is a time-honored California tradition. You aren't trying to disrespect our native culture, are you?

In deference to Flock, though, the weather in North Texas is pretty wild. One of my wives grew up in places all over the Lone Star State. She tells me that triple digits are pretty common from about May to September. Then in the winter (to quote her) "It feels like there's nothing between you and the North Pole 'cept some barbed wire."

'Course, I grew up in Arkansas myself. So don't tell any of the folks back home that I'm being sympathetic with a Texan, OK?
