I've toyed with the idea or using mutliple cameras in the past with videos, and it's a pain in the assto syncronize, but in the end I think the result (if done right) is quite worth it. What do you guys think?

For those of you who watch or buy tickling video clips, do you like when the video has two seperate camera angles? Perhaps a full body shot as well as a close up of the feet that are being tickled, switching back and forth every now and again? or maybe a closeup of the helpless lee's upperbody and face in addition to a full frame shot?

What is the TMF's opinion on this? If it's a popular enough idea, I may have to requisition the funds for a second camera 😉

well... It certainly cant hurt 😉

I think its a very good path to wonder down 🙂 as time goes on, people want more and more possibilities,

Uber Coincidence, I had just mentioned something like this in the "Bondage Dungeon" Thread 😛

I'm a fan of either non-static cameras, or multiple angles when I watch clips.
If there's only one angle, it often gives the clip a monotonous feel - irrelevent of it's content.

Not that moving cameras or multiple angles should be used as a substitute for quality content, but I think you know that anyway 😛

Absolutely; your production value is already higher than most amateur producers. (Split screen and picture-in-picture displays also work excellently in certain situations.)

no bad idea
i did not like that then TIB use to do that with his clips

Nope, the number of camera angles makes no difference to me.

I think multiple angles are fine. In fact, I'd like you to have a swinging camera that can cover the lee in 360 degrees. . . . . . . . .

Get on that 🙂

Definitely. Multiple angles, picture-in-picture, they can all be used well to create superior product. I think it's definitely worth the expense.

I appreciate multiple camera angles - it gives more of a feeling of being present at the event. What are the synchronization issues?

I'm just saying it sometimes takes a while to get the feed from Camera 1 and the feed from Camera 2 sunched up so that there isn't a hiccup in the flow of the footage. It just takes time, that's all.

I think I will purchase a second camera, given the way this thread is going. Thanks for all the input everyone.

I don't buy clips or videos so my opinion, in some sense, doesn't matter. But I believe it is better to have several cameras and be able to go back and forth instantly from a full-body shot to a close up of the area being tickled, or to the lee's face, or to the ler's face, showing her or his enjoyment. 😀

Here's a trick that's used in mainstream films to help with that.

You've probably seen the clapperboards that are used at the beginning of a scene in a film? The purpose of those things is to give a single marker (visible for video and audible for sound) that can be used by all cameras in the shoot. Early filmmakers noticed that when they used multiple cameras it was almost impossible to get them rolling at exactly the same moment, so when they cut together footage from different cameras it would be out of sync.

The trick is not to start your timer from the beginning of the tape, but from the moment the two halves of the clapperboard come together to form a visible whole (hence the diagonal stripes, to make it more visible). That happens at the same moment on all cameras, so it synchronizes everything that happens after it.

You could use a clapperboard in your own video, but any visible or audible signal will work, as long as it's unmistakeable.

I personally like multiple camera angles in videos. Some of my favorites are ones that go from showing the entire scene, to showing close ups of the lee's expressions or the spot that she's being tickled at the time.

Yes I really like different angles and views of a lee being tickled especially the feet. Showing them from different angles really adds to the clip I believe.

Yep. This.

While I fully intend to incorporate multiple cameras and angles into my videos because so many people enjoy them, I may be a weirdo in that I personally prefer a static camera. I like it when the 'ler moves around, or if the 'lee is able to change positions, but I like to feel truly immersed in a great tickling scene, and in reality when I'm watching a great session I don't tend to have sudden changes in POV. Even excellent angle and shot changes can really pull me out of the moment. But that's just me 🙂

Maybe a good idea would be to release two seperate videos of the same shoot - one that incorporates a static camera, and the other that uses multiple cameras?

what about one that moves around tho? an extra pair of hands I know but it give the effect that your there looking in, makes it more 3D and believable.

OR, do what you like and what you feel looks polished and professional, and the few odd eggs like me will just deal :cheer:

I think clips are fine with one camera.I would rather see the lee in full or body closeups.Changeing camera views from lee to ler a little is fine, but I still prefer to focus on the tickling.Just me.
