Is Skyrim not...

This is from an article on Cracked about Skyrim: http://www.cracked.com/blog/5-personality-flaws-skyrim-forces-you-to-deal-with/

King: Wanderer! Thank the gods you've come! The prophecy told us that a mighty warrior would arise, worthy of wielding Fjalnir, the God-axe, and slaying the evil Demon Prince Synraith. We believe you to be that warrior. What say you, traveler? Will you accept this task?

Me: Yea, verily I shall accept thine task and vanq- wait, Synraith? Fiery dude in a floating city? Cape made out of screeching souls? Ahhh, shit. I already killed that guy.

King: You ... already slew the Demon Prince, the Knife in the Dark, the Void at the Heart of All Men, whose identity you did not learn until just now?

Me: Yup. I saw that castle floating up in the sky, and I wanted to know if I could jump up the rocks to get in the back way. It took a lot of reloads, but I finally managed to hop on up in there.

King: You "hopped on up" into the Abyssal Palace?

Me: Yeeeep, yep yep yep. Just squat-jumped on in there and looted the place. Then I killed that Sydney guy-

King: Synraith, Demon Prince of the Abyss.

Me: -yeah him. I ganked that guy. Mostly just to see if I could. Plus he looked like kind of a dick.

King: Indeed, the Foulest of the Foul was "kind of a dick." But you vanquished him without the aid of sacred Fjalnir, the God-axe?

Me: Totally. It wasn't even a thing. I just hid on top of a bookshelf where he couldn't reach me and shot him with arrows. Then I waited until he forgot I was shooting him, and did it all again.

King: Forsooth! Thine heroic deeds are ... well, that sounds kind of fucked up, actually. Never thought I'd feel bad for He Who Devours. So you have no need of our sacred totem weapon?

Me: What, the gold dealy, with the shiny bits? Nah, I already stole that out of the display case four hours ago, before I knew who you were.

The most AMAZING video game ever created? I've been glued to my computer for over a week now, with no end in site.

I have to agree, I suddenly had free time on my hands the last month or so and needed to get away. I heard great things about Skyrim and so I bought it. I have it for the PS3 but of course my blu ray drive finally failed so I am on hold on my adventuring while I go get a new PS3. :/ I love the AI, it's not always perfect but I love how the enviroment reacts to my actions, I really feel like I'm in the game. 🙂

One thing I learned though... just because the Dragon just used his breath on a bunch of other soldiers as I'm smacking him on the wing, it doesn't mean he can't grab my guy with his mouth, shake me and toss me miles up in the sky to my death. Naughty dragon. lol.

A lot of good games that don't have online play are in the cheap bin for $20. I'm going to wait to buy it then.

I love this game.

Has anybody here discovered a "shut the fuck up" option in their hireling's command menu yet? I like my hireling but her repetitive chatter is making me crazy.

Another anti social device has hit the market? that being said, ill gladly volunteer to rub the tootsies of any woman while shes playing the game. that way, youll get the effect of real life, and fantasy at the same time. :cheesy:

I used to be social like you, maniac.

Then I took an arrow to the knee.

I just came within an inch of spitting Diet Pepsi. Well played! (He's paraphrasing the game, Maniac - go play it.)

I've forsaken most other things in life for Skyrim for the past few days... Vast improvement over Oblivion, is beginning to rival Morrowind as my favorite TES game. 😀

I was not a fan of Oblivion. Bored me to tears.

That's why I was... less inclined to play Skyrim. However, I decided once to play it, and have immensely enjoyed myself since then. Is it as good as everyone on planet earth makes it out to be? Nah. That's just the media hype talking. Is it much better than your average run-of-the-mill game? I'd say so.

I love the Corrupted Shadows. The animation for those undead is absolutely amazing!

Level 36.. trying to explore everything in the game. Definitely going to have some replay value, as you can't possibly do everything in one play through.
